Assuming nobody else is available since today Barlaser and O'Brien are highly likely to play - so I've taken them as virtually a given, despite their current poor form
So I'd go 5 at the back

Couldn’t agree more, I have absolutely zero faith in the team that started today and against Plymouth anymore.

Give one of them, or even McCabe, a chance, something for the fans to get behind.

McCabe for O'Brien?
Hackney was thrown in and thrived.....could McCabe do the same?

We are patching up cm what lever we choose right now. I’d play obrien above Barlaser purely because o’brien can play better than today but this is Barlaser norm.

Howson will be back after two more games put him in for obrien at that point.

I’d like 3 options in cm who can all play with the ball at their feet, purely because we play it through the thirds and we need this sort of players in the centre of the park

He said Howson is getting close but won't be ready for Norwich.

Hackney is further away but didn't give a time frame. Rumours that we'll be luck to see him again this season.

Both knee injuries

You would get swamped in midfield playing this
 
It seems that we're stuck with Clarke, which is unfortunate. I really wanted him to do well, after recovering from his potentially career changing injury, but he has not fulfilled my, or perhaps his own, expectation.
