McGree

Azaz finish yesterday was technically brilliant and i think overlooked chipping it over from such short distance so the keeper got nothing on. Cant help but think latte would have just blasted it and hit the keeper in the same position.
You are probably right but lath would have made more of the chances we fluffed with his pace. Too many of them were wasted. Swings and roundabouts.

mcgree, azaz and hackney vs preston were knocking the ball about so well, all one touch stuff. we were so dominant in midfield. even though we lost i thought wow we played some good stuff in the middle. riley was class. put jones back in the team with LL striker and we will be ripping teams apart again. no real weakness across the front 6. just need to get them all on the pitch. hopefully the rumours hackney is out for the season are just made up.

Riley McGree is one of the best bits of business we’ve done in recent years.

His ball retention, decision making and weight / execution of passes in and around the area is class. He just sees passes that some players don’t.

On top of that, he’s also got an eye for goal.

He’s easily my favourite player. I’ll also be gutted if he leaves next season.

McGree / Azaz surrounded by some pace and a top class striker would be quite the combination!

Exactly the same even when a few had doubts about him on here I was saying he is a proper footballer and our problem was and still is we dont have enough of them.

Thought OBrien was better yesterday too although that might have been because we were battling rather than passing the ball back and forwards 5 yards at a time.

But we're always do, the middles third of the pitch has never really been a problem, it's keeping them out and converting our chances that had been the problem this season.

We played some really good stuff on Tuesday, probably as good as yesterday, the difference being we made our chances count against Leicester.

I also think that three at the back works better for us, away from home anyway.
