McGree

Quite probably, he’s miles ahead of greenwood, who apart from a few goals has been terrible, his lack of tracking back has cost us far more goals than he’s contributed.

Riley McGree is one of the best bits of business we’ve done in recent years.

His ball retention, decision making and weight / execution of passes in and around the area is class. He just sees passes that some players don’t.

On top of that, he’s also got an eye for goal.

He’s easily my favourite player. I’ll also be gutted if he leaves next season.

McGree / Azaz surrounded by some pace and a top class striker would be quite the combination!

Massively missed. He's got something about him that others don't. A terrific player.

That said not convinced Carrick overly 'fancies' him. He wasn't a regular before injury. It seemed odd then. We look a far better side with him in the side.

Must be some reason why he's not a nailed on starter? Can't think of any. Unless it's something off field or in training.

Just rumours I’ve heard - unfortunately i think he wants to “further his career” elsewhere
Wouldn't be a total surprise. If so, hope we get a decent fee for him - 4-5M. I think he only has a year left on his contract this summer.

That would be a steal for someone at that price, but yeah it’s probably not far off what we’d get. Very good player at this level - maybe could even be a decent squad player for a mid table prem club

It was mysterious at the start of the season when he wasn’t starting. Our upturn in form started when he returned to the side.

The turning point was when he equalised against Southampton, then he went on a little run of goals.

His injury was a huge blow.
