Steve Gibson your time is up!!

I'm sure they where saying the same back when Steve bought the club "no one is going to buy Middlesbrough" then Steve Gibson came along!!
If you're talking about 1986, that's not what happened.
If you're talking about 1993, that's not what happened either. Or in 1994.

How come Hull City can be sold & are seeing investment. Notts Forest are the same , Bournemouth the list goes on
Don`t know pal.

I`m not saying Gibson shouldn`t sell or whatever really, just interested on who has come forward and wanted to buy us.

Numerous, really?

Who?

Genuine question btw

This was one I do think Gibson should look for outside investment like Leeds United have got the 49ers involved but Gibsons likes having all the control

I was waiting for transfer window to pass.
Rob I really like you and genuinely respect your commitment to our club and the time you spend that helps many supporters.

I also think you are in a very difficult position because if Gibson lashes out like he can then your access to the club and your website are really impacted.

But seriously man the contempt shown by the club towards its supporters over EB24 is risible.
I guess if you have put £197m in over 30 years and are still owed £40m, you are entitled to feel deflated, but to treat the fanbase with such disrespect is stupid beyond belief.
The best times are always when it feels like we are all pulling together like in February 2023.
I can't believe the contrast in just one year at MFC, when ironically his only serious business Bulkhaul has never done better.

Good luck to him with Bulkhaul, its great for hundreds of Teesside families, but he appears a million miles from the ballsy, visionary, laser focused guy he was back in the 90's.

Btw I’m not saying we should sell I’m saying that the idea that we couldn’t attract investment is ludicrous.

But yes it would mean giving up power and control or weakening it.

They has been numerous approaches over the years and Gibson rejected them all out of hand really

But are they billionaires, or suitable?

For every Man City there’s a Blackburn, or Cardiff, or Sheff Wed, or Birmingham.

I've been hearing this for years Scrug but I'm sure they where saying the same back when Steve bought the club "no one is going to buy Middlesbrough" then Steve Gibson came along!!

Until you put something up for sale you will never know who is interested.

Aye, fair enough. I’m just wary that there are far more many horror stories that spring to my mind than successes. I’m quite happy that we’re still playing at a competitive level, with a few local lads in the side and we haven’t sold our soul to the devil like the mags up the road.

And I’m not even from Middlesbrough 😂

It’s clear that other clubs have benefited from having extra investment but it’s not all about tonnes of money to make the club better. When you look at the big picture you could say that SG has sunk in a lot of cash to keep us in line with the rest of the championship, and also in line with FFP.

I think we’re all a bit bewildered by the situation with Rogers and perhaps Crooks not to mention the striker situation but then again many clubs in the championship have their transfer and financial issues.

Overall we need to get lucky in the championship with strikers but when we do we have to find a way to keep them instead f offloading them for what can be termed as low ball prices.

Q. Are there any plans to improve the IT infrastructure within the ground (not sure how practical it is to have a wi-fi password for all attendees - or one per block in each stand if server capacity is an issue - but if not just being able to get a signal on a 5G iphone?).

Q. Are there any plans for any murals in the walk up to the ground? Specifically to brighten up the two underpasses...

Southampton did this on the bridge to their ground...

Whilst I do recognise the contribution Steve Gibson puts in to the club it would be interesting to see why he thinks our season ticket prices need to be more expensive than most other Championship clubs and why the deadline needs to be so early. Whilst the 24/25 price rise is not out of line with inflation a £90 rise for the North Stand in 3 years is significant, as just one example. I can understand the arguments by some that the price is not unreasonable compared to the cost of other entertainment but the comparison with other Championship clubs is a valid one

Dear Steve,

1. Can we please have yellow and black tape around the goals, so our players know what to aim at?

2. Can we expect a £10 voucher to spend in the Navvie or the Isaac, for every goal we concede at The Riverside?

ps. Can we all have some new red seats with soft cushions like you have ?

Please.

Best wishes,

r00fie1 X
