Just want to say well done luton

I fkg hate Luton. Awful town, tinpot club, moronic fan base.

Sorry to bring the thread down.

My mum did tell me if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all when I was a child, but I didn’t listen.
Same, nobody would go near the place if there wasn’t an Airport next to it.

Once they got near the playoffs their fans thought they had a divine right to go up because they’d come back from non league a few years ago.

s***y standard Southern concrete ********

I thought they'd really struggle to get double points as their squad lacked - any - quality, though team spirit in spades.. they signed a couple of good players that give them a huge lift, esp Barkley..

Though I'd still like them relegated - if - we don't manage a playoff promotion..

London starts at Bedford with the Thameslink to Brighton.
Apply that logic so does Scotland then at the other end of the GnER.

Luton is just up the road from me. I never venture there except when we play there. The airport is the worst in the Uk particularly at the moment with chaos created by the damage to the multi storey car park by the car fire a few months ago. I however have warmed to the football team. Shows what a bit of grit and determination can do and a manager who fits well with the Club.

Don't mind Luton. Town gets a bad rep, not unlike we do with Middlesbrough, and their fans have had it pretty rough over the years with points deductions and falling as far as the National League. Don't begrudge them success. And their fans have always been decent when I've been there. Good luck to them!
I live amongst them. Relatively decent, down to earth folk. The town centre is a dump, is true though.

I like Luton airport. Cheap taxi from where I live and I can even get the train.

Some dodgy airlines fly from there though. Avoid airwizz at all costs they take the **** which I suppose they tell you in the name. Fair play.

From a selfish point of view I actually hope Luton go back to where they crawled from.

That's providing we manage to pull off a miracle and gain promotion.

Much rather travel to teams in and around the north.

i went to Edinburgh recently from Luton. Log jam to get in, dropped off before the tunnel so 10 minute walk through the underpass, Horrendous security line queue of 45 minutes, No seats in the departures hall, overcrowded and low ceilings that give a claustrophobic feel. Hate Luton airport sorry despite it being my closest.

The departure lounge isn't big enough, you are right about that. I usually go in the pub on the corner of departures.

If I go to the airport I get a taxi, 27 quid that drops me off at departures, or the train/shuttle which drops me off right at the doors.

The security queues, they are much the same at any london airport. Fly a lot from gatwick and heathrow and they are just as bad, though I like gatwick because again, direct train, plus the monorail, but try getting something to eat there and a seat. It's equally as bad as luton, though lighter and airier.
My sister and I went to Verona last summer from gatwick. It was horrendous, and about 25 quid each for breakfast and a drink.

The security lines are as bad as Ive ever seen them Laughing believe you me when I went a few weeks ago. As for the taxis at the moment they can't drop you off at departures because of the fire damage. As I said in my previous post at the moment you get dropped off way before the tunnel and you either walk or get a shuttle bus which has to get back in the log jammed traffic as it has to double back away from the airport before heading back again. My ranked airports for comfort fwiw. Sorry but getting off topic.

1. London City
2. Heathrow
3. Stanstead
4. Gatwick
5 Luton
