Out of contract and had no offers for a month. Seeing as he scored 12 goals and made 22 assists in all competitions during the 2017–18 season and nominated for the EFL League One Player of the Season award it’s strange he hasn’t had an offer. Last year we were linked with him when a £2.5M fee was quoted. Maybe he wants too much money or, has his reputation taken a hit while on loan at a Championship Club, namely Hull?

Wasn't he the player everyone (media) were assassinating saying he had an ego problem... & brought unrest to the squad..

The stats seem good, though footy is a small world & I'm guessing some of the ego issues stuck....

read he was being linked with Sunderland....

It's alleged that he has a bit of a billy big bollox attitude isn't it?

Maybe it all coming crashing down around him is what he needed. He certainly has talent, and if it was harnessed I've no doubt he could handle the championship.

He got 10 goals and 6 assists in the first half of a season Peterborough last year, but his form dropped off when his relationship with the club fell apart. In the end they shoved him out the door to Hull where he was a complete flop, barely getting a kick for them.

He's an absolute League One beast, it's amazing no one at our level has snapped him up because he's a game changer on his day, like Tomlin. 52 goals and 76 assists in 212 games in League One. A goal every 4 games and assist every 3 games is superb.

Reportedly only on £3,500pw at Hull , if that’s the case I would like us to give him a chance .
Seen people saying he’s a bit of a lad / knob , so what , Neil said he likes a naughty character in the team . Durham born so local . Good age , scores and creates 👍

I'd sign him up for sure, but all reports are about his attitude issues and I don't imagine Warnock would appreciate it if he was a an unsettling element.

Give him a trial / train with us to see his character prior to signing . I suppose he could act fine for 2 weeks and then change , but a quiet word from Neil should suffice. ( mess about and I’ll tell the world )

9 goals and 6 assists in Tier 1 isn't quite enough to take a punt on a player who Peterborough fans are glad to see the back of to be honest. Not for me anyway.

They're probably glad to see the back of him because he left them in a very dickish way, not because of his footballing ability.

His stats are excellent, his attitude is far from it.
That's the thing clubs need to weigh up.

Poor reputation at Hull and such a lousy reputation at Peterborough that their manager very publicly distanced the club from him. Doesn’t fill you with confidence in him.

He wasnt very good at hull. Dosnt mean he cant be somewhere else. But seemed a bit all me ish

He does do the “Ronaldo” pose celebration when he scores like! However, looking at his highlights on youtube, his corners and free kicks are excellent, which in a NW team might come in handy.

He’s a bit of heads gone character in the dressing room apparently— ***** everyone off so he’s definitely not the kind of chap you’d want right now where everybody and everything is stressed. Admittedly he could change over night as his career arguably depends on it — give him a trial and maybe a week to week contract?

It's a strange one. He's been very consistent over a few years. He actually has YouTube highlights showing his assists. Just looks like a crossing machine.

He is clearly labeled as a bit of a maverick / bad a*s. He is reported to have been asking crazy wages and a substantial signing on fee as a free agent (I've read 15-20k a week). I imagine he's lowered his expectations post covid.

I would take a punt as he's free. Just seems like a player who can do a bit in the final 3rd. He's of similar stock and age as Tomlin. He didn't turnout too bad despite similar reported 'issues'.

I don't particularly care that's he's apparently an Instagram div. I'm sure he will get a club. You look around and players better than him are without clubs.

I've not heard anything about Ayala / Clayton etc walking straight into clubs (also Lyle Taylor). I imagine they will all be offered significantly less wages than they would pre covid.

I imagine Hull were paying his Peterborough wages (100% of) as he was on loan?

A free agent could walk into a club and demand a signing on fee and wage increase as no transfer fee payed.

I'm sure covid has changed many free's expectations.
