The fact Monk dropped him for the second half of the season should be taken with a pinch of salt. This is the same manager who kept Traore on the naughty step for half a season so I don’t trust his view of wingers.
 
Id have him back tomorrow but we cant afford him, but we do have options on the left at the moment. He made great progress under us, I thought we got a reasonable fee for him but I would rather have kept him. Another Karanka gaff imho.
We would have to sell to afford him.
 
I thought 5mil was decent (most thought it was the best bit of business since somehow getting money for Brad Jones😂).

That said the money as spent and wasted 10 times over. So not actually amazing business. He was very good at PNE and until last season looks a 'steal' for Wednesday. He's 27 so decent age.

I'm not sure how much or if any traction is in this. Warnock openly says he prefers 4 3 3 (and he said we didn't have the players to do that). As woody quickly found out.

It's pure speculation but Reach / Moore and Hoilett is a better front 3 than we have. I mean in terms of ballance and they are Warnock type players to fit a style.

He likes proper wingers and a big man up top. So it's maybe just press putting two and two together as it's easy.

Another Karanka gaff?
We broke even on the sum of all the players bought under his time. I wish we could say the same about monk and pulis.
Nobody was bothered at the time we sold Reach for a pretty good £5m at the time.
