30p Lee resigns

The Tory party now has so many people urinating into their own tent, rather than outside it, that they're going to need a bottle of toilet duck to be given away with their election leaflets when Mr Sunak eventually calls for the coup de grace general election.

I hope I'm wrong, but if Labour do prevail in next years election as predicted, then I can see the Tories leaning even harder to the right and this horrible specimen's resignation is entirely with that plan in mind.

Is there enough moderate Tories to stop this happening?

The next election, expected later this year, will be the first carried out under the new boundaries, after they were redrawn to take into account population changes and to try to even out the number of voters in each area.
It found Labour would need a 12.7 percentage point swing from the governing Conservatives to win an overall majority in the House of Commons, the lower house of parliament.
That is larger than the 10.2 point swing former Prime Minister Tony Blair achieved when he led Labour to power in 1997 and more than double the swing achieved at any other election since 1945.

Yes, it's called gerrymandering.

Copy and paste fail Nobby. Thanks (y)

Fook, where did I put 2023, it's around here somewhere..... :)
I think ? Technically you are correct.
The election has to be called by December so could be 2025

Im sure someone will clarify for us

On another point - this is a kick in the teeth for Sunak
His only chance of revenge is calling an election quickly which will boot out some of the trouble makers.

Here’s hoping.

Still believe it will be May tho

All the noises suggest May, can't wait for more vote winning announcements from the government.

If he calls it at his latest point it would be 25 days after the 17th December 2024 - which would be Friday 1oth January 2025. I still think it will be May this year.

I think they'll split into two, whether that is reform, or two tory parties under different names I don't know. Think similar may happen with the Republicans too, some of the normal ones mustn't want Trump anywhere near power surely to God.

Resigned as deputy chair over Rwanda then said Rishi has his 100% full support over the Rwanda bill.

Moronic the entire party!

Just so they can appease some gammons and their relentless desire to see less brown faces.

A man on James o'Brian yesterday said Brexit making the country poorer is a small price to pay to control immigration, when presented with the fact that we need immigration to grow the economy he said he is happy for everyone to be worse off if he see's less immigration overall. The current Tory party and their supporters are despicable.
