What are your collective thoughts on X now?

I am a big fan of Musk, but since he took it over it's changed for the worse in my opinion.

In the last couple of days I've clicked on a video of a man being impaled to death on a bollard, and last night I watched a woman being stabbed to death after cheating on her husband. I felt sick after seeing both of them.

I'm sure this kind of stuff wasn't ever circulated on there.
 
It was always available previously. The demand for gore porn is quite staggering

Bad stuff used to pop up, especially sex videos but they'd be flagged up and taken down much faster, now anything goes. Haven't been on for years as I found it too addictive
 
I haven't seen anything as bad as that but I've certainly noticed an increase in random video-posting accounts getting pushed into my feed.
He has pretty much ruined it.
 
Could never get into I, so never really bothered with it. Think I tried using it once to call out a company doing some crap customer service or something. Felt like a bit of a twit for using it.
 
I'm still a regular user, and still get lots of local stuff off it- what people locally are thinking, but you do have to be a lot more selective on what you read and listen to.

yeah the algorithm's have defo been set onto snuff videos.. awful stuff! notice a lot of right wing nutters getting more.. coverage? what would it be? visibility?
 
Even before Musk took over I've felt the vast majority of complaints people had were down to them either not knowing or not being prepared to set Twitter up to improve their experience.

I've got a load of lists set up to cover various subjects and just view the lists rather than what the algorithm spews out. I have noticed a lot more spam of late, but nothing that isn't easy to ignore.
 
I still use it just as much, but more so for Boro and other football stuff.

Although the prioritising of paid for accounts is beginning to ruin it for me. You click on a well known football account’s tweet and the replies are full of people who pay for twitter, with the same replies and most of them don’t make any sense or aren’t relevant at all to the original tweet.

That’s always been on Twitter.

I think Twitter has improved since Musk took it over.
