ST Sales Re-Open to Gold Card Holders

You may also consider that you support the club.
A lot of people just want to pick fault and split hairs.
The club treated season ticket holders well when they were forced to stage games without supporters being present.
Why would the treat the differently this time??
On the basis of this I renewed months ago

On the other hand those 6000 who have already renewed did so not knowing what league we would be in next season .
Not quite true, it was possible to wait until a few days after the end of the season and then renew, before the window closed.

Surely people expected the window to close at some point early in the close season? As always.

Same as me, soon as they offered the refund and the stream I knew it wasn't much of a gamble to renew and if the season didn't happen I felt the club would refund/give options (unlick other clubs).

As a season ticket holder I'm not sure what else the club could do really they have a stadium limit they have to maintain and a deadline was always going to come, we are only a few weeks away from the season starting.

Exactly- a deadline was always going to come. But it didn't!! They didn't give a deadline like they should have.
Had they given a deadline we would not be having this debate.

I haven't renewed with the early bird offer. So let me get this straight, I now won't be able to renew and will most likely have to purchase a ST as a new buyer?

I'd say you are more likely to not even get the chance to purchase a season ticket at all for next season. Same as me.

This rotational idea wont work.

I agree, just mooting an idea. It won't work in my view because you'd end up having to manage swapsies. E.g. I cant go on the 10th when it's my turn, can I swap with someone on the 24th cos they cant go then but can make the 10th

Would be an administerial overburden

Unless it was just a case of tough títty and if you cant make your turn, so be it. Would be a wasted seat though when demand outstrips supply

Well really I suppose it could, but its planning for groups of people. Theres 10 in our group with only 1 not being a Gold Card Holder.(hes renewed when we sorted it out ages ago)
What do you do if people who go to the match together but sit in different parts of the ground and the club cant marry up the given games.

At least at the moment those who have renewed committed early to it and dont need to faff around with other arrangements.

It could be some of the Gold Card holders now offered a chance maybe isolating or dont want to go without friends or family.

I'm fuming to be honest. All they had to do was give a deadline, like they've just done for Gold ST holders who want to renew. 'You've got until ***** to renew with the early bird offer'.

I'm also now wondering what's going to happen regarding a refund for the home games that we missed out on last season, as I was going to carry it over as credit when renewing. I hope I will still be given a refund.

As some have already mentioned the club can't win and people will be unhappy however they play it.

I'm a gold card holder but hadn't yet renewed before they suspended sales. I'll potentially be able to renew now but, I still think the proposed solution is wrong and devisive. This way we're going to have people in the stadium who've held a ST for 1 year and some locked out who have had one for 23 years. As others have said this special 'gold card' window is discriminating against those not old enough to have held a ST for 25 years. The fairest way would have been all ST holders irrespective of length of having held one in a ballot for games. Match by match if possible, if logistically that can't be done then do the ballot for the whole season until further notice once directives on safe capacity change. At least then all ST holders have an equal chance to see the team live.

I still find it strange that they haven't yet compiled information about who will be attending yet as they may find of those 6,000 sold already there may be x amount who are shielding who may have no intention of attending, yet they seem to be counting them towards the 25% capacity already. Surely they need this information before they decide anything?

The next issue is this bubble attendance, they've said a maximum of two households per seating bubble. I go to games with 2 other people all from different households, I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

There isn’t a response that satisfies everyone here. I renewed on 29th July. I did it mainly because i seen Sunderland stop renewals and thought I would get in before we hit the same sort of cap issue that prompted their decision. I also could afford the £516 they wanted, I was excited by securing Warnock and at worst thought I would get the first months games home and away on a live stream and as an ‘early renewer’ get priority when the ground re-opened. A decision taken at risk and based upon personal circumstances. Everyone had a chance to renew before the cut off but took an individual decision whether to do so or not. As I say the club will upset some people whatever approach they take.

I do appreciate it's unprecedented times, and others clubs' have had to make the decision to suspend sales. I'm sure it's something the club wouldn't have wanted to do. I'm frustrated with myself really for not taking the risk and renewing, but I do always leave it until the last minute anyway.

I just hope long-term the club are smart are about it, and allow those who have missed out on renewing to renew with the early bird price next season.. It will leave a bad taste in my mouth if I have to purchase a ticket as a new buyer after having a ST for years now.

How do you see how much credit you have.

Seem to have found it in History although seems a bit confusing. Sit East Stand Upper on a Senior ST. There appears to be a number of refunds of £23.04, others at £16.43 and others at £5.91.

Sounds like a right chew on.

Agree with this.

The households per bubble is something we were waiting on too. We’re all family but split across 4 households, so we’d have to split into pairs and sit socially distanced from the others?

Just feels for me like the whole thing has lacked any transparency.
