To All The Tory Voters

Seriously, that just comes across as a rant.
And to rant back, if your reference about £350m is did I vote to leave the EU, then yes I did. And I did it because having lived on teesside all my life I have seen the decimation of shipbuilding, steel manufacture and mining in the area. The loss of well paid manufacturing jobs with decent pensions, replaced by service sector call centre jobs on minimum wages.

What? And you blame the EU for all that lot and not the Tories who have been in power for most of your life?

Exactly, hiding behind it. It was never actually true though. It was UK government policy.
I would say it was establishment policy. The benefit now though is that the British government now are responsible and accountable for investment in Teesside. There is nothing to hide behind, which I think is good, no matter which party is in power.

I blame the establishment, of which labour are part of. No matter what party is in now they cannot hide behind the EU and resposibility for investment in the regions is theirs alone.

I get the sentiment starplayer, but this government will always find someone or something to blame. It'll be a while until the blame is shifted from the EU for not giving us the deal we want (cake and eat it), or coronavirus, and then it'll be something else.

Sorry that's a cop out, yes you can blame the establishment, but you are responsible for the establishment.
Well, having voted labour, tory lib dem and green in my time I suppose I have voted for most of the established parties. To say I am resposnible though is a nebulous lazy statement. Ultimately though when I walk around teesside, no matter what government has been in there has been a constant decline in Pretty much everything on Teesside. Most recently in steel, where governments hid behind the EU to prevent any bail out. Thats fine. But now we are out of the EU they have to do something about it and the responsibility falls on our government.

I know, but ultimately responsibility has shifted, which I think is a good thing.

. But now we are out of the EU they have to do something about it and the responsibility falls on our government.

The problem is that they don’t have to do anything about it.
I don’t think being unable to hide behind the EU and to no longer be able to blame them for all our woes, will suddenly mean the Government of the day spring into action and start investing and fixing everything. That’s a bit naive, in my opinion.

And which party do think decimated those industries?

I worked for 30 yrs for the NHS. Its stuck in the largest brurocracy you can imagine.
When I started the hospital I worked in was managed by a director of Nursing services and 4 Nursing officers. When I left there was over 100 managers. As a charge nurse my immediate boss had 1 person above him on the yearly management photo.
By the time I left the first 4 levels of management got their photo on and my bosses level was explained by his name only another 3 levels down.
To give you some idea of where money goes I needed 2 filing cabinets for a clinic. I saw the ones I wanted in Staples £29.99 each , obviously I can't just buy them I have to order through central stores. I looked and ordered 2 identical cabinets which arrived the next week. I had to sign for them and forward the invoice. The charge to the NHS £998.
It's a wonderful institution and vital to our country but something needs doing to sort it out so the money is spent in the right way and right areas.

It is actually a misconception that there are too many managers, the fact is that there are not enough. In a way doctors are the talent, like the footballers at a football club and without an effective leader they'd be useless. We give doctors too much control and nobody is managing their performance because middle management is where all the cuts happened. They are now not accountable to anyone and they are untouchable because they are a scarce resource. A decent manager will pay for themselves many times over by ensuring the doctors are in the right place at the right time and they see the patients that they should see.

The other area for cuts was admin. We now have clinical staff doing their own admin on consultant, doctor, nurse salaries doing band 2 jobs which reduces
the number of patients they see. People say we need more doctors and nurses but we need to free the ones we have to see patients first.

Due to a Tory Lockdown the Jobs have gone And Now the Hidious Mask folly..
I doubt the country will ever get back to normal..
But alas everyone simply accepts whatever garbage Fake Media tells them..
I have not worn a filthy Mask Not Now Not ever..
Its as near illigal and unenforcable as one can imagine..
And to take any notice of the WHO is sickening..
Trump has the right idea about that mob
And the sooner the UK ceases funding them the better..
Be warned they will insist on another Lockdown in December

As someone who works directly with Consultants, Advanced Practitioners, Specialist Doctors, Nurse Specialists, Neurologists, Social Workers and Social Care Providers i in Primary and Secondary Care I can say categorically that your statements are incorrect and inaccurate. Dont tar all "Doctors" with a wide brush which says more about your comprehension of reallity than the prevailing practices and conditions.

People know what my position is on Public Health Care so I dont need to elaborate..

Facts are important. Feelings lead to opinions.

'You saying it would have been any different under another party ? '

For a start we'd have an extra 30,000 officers patrolling the streets at a cost of only £300,000
