To All The Tory Voters

I dont really get it. The gap between rich and poor got wider when labour were in, just as much as the tories. Its human nature and greed takes hold whoever is in power. I have voted for every party under the sun for the past 35 years and now realise that basically you have to look after yourself. The establishment make sure we know where our place is, I just tell my kids now to be kind, respectful and considerate, but go 100% for what you want. It is wrong for the default to be that the state will give you everything. As for the NHS, I work there and basically, other than the Nursing and medical workforce everything is and has been Private sector for years. Labour are as guilty as anyone for that.

No one expects the state to give you everything. Just a little more spread of wealth and opportunity would be nice. The NHS was certainly in better hands and better funded under the last Labour government. I've never voted Tory and I never will.
The nhs may have been better funded but most of the money went on desks, furniture, management tiers and PFI.

Nhs worker and voted Tory
Honestly starplayer. Bless you, you sound like a good guy at heart but to not see through the Tories B/S. If they had a way of doing it they’d have a fully private nhs and the fact that you still and never will really be able to see right through the hollowness of these ‘small state’ thinking right wing extreme USA style societal approaches is why the Tories extreme right wingers hold power in this country at present and I wonder if you are holding your breath for the 350m/week for the nhs on 1st Jan 2021.

Pack of liars taking this country backwards fast

Seriously, that just comes across as a rant.
And to rant back, if your reference about £350m is did I vote to leave the EU, then yes I did. And I did it because having lived on teesside all my life I have seen the decimation of shipbuilding, steel manufacture and mining in the area. The loss of well paid manufacturing jobs with decent pensions, replaced by service sector call centre jobs on minimum wages.

And who do you blame for that?

Your reasons have nothing to do with the EU, and all to do with UK government policy
Well, now that is the case and responsibility is all on the government of the day. No hiding behind EU competition rules and government subsidies that for some reason in Germany allow for support in coal and steel manufacture, but not here.
