Just renewed

Just come off the phone to the ticket office. The nice young lady who has just come back off furlough even took the refund off. Done and dusted see you all in Sept/Oct/Nov. Sometime.
Can't wait really looking forward to a successful season. How does the song go Erimus? To stay?

Well done mate. Haven’t done it yet but I will do once I know what the crack is. Can’t wait to get back in stadium

Do we have any idea when they will announce the plans for getting crowds back? Would expect some news shortly and a deadline for early birds at some point

I expect they are still awaiting guidance from government. EFL are probably also talking to the government and awaiting guidance. Really difficult decisions ahead. How can football clubs survive with first no fans and then few fans? I have heard that even at grass root levels the guidance is scant and they are also waiting to hear how, if and when they are allowed to let fans stand around a pitch etc.

If its heavily controlled and restricted to 25% - Assuming infection rates continue to decline, I would be happy to go back on September 12th, but I expect there would be issues if say only 8,500 were let in i.e. disappointed fans not let in.

Cinemas are reopening as the new releases start coming out in August. OK there is no shouting there and no live performers, but people will be quite close and need to go to the loo etc.

If season ticket holders were allowed free live coverage at home of all league games, that is worth around £400 in itself.

Renewed the day after they announced the 20/21 Early Birds as per but agree with all the lads - and lasses - on here who've said they won't renew until they know what the score is re: fans being allowed back into the ground. Had I known what was just around the corner, I doubt very much whether I would have either. As it is, not overly bothered. If anyone's going to put their hand in my pocket over Covid, I'm pleased it's Boro, at least.

I renewed last week, but I'm not sure I necessarily want to be one of the first allowed back in (if that is indeed the case). I suppose I need to see what the logistical arrangements are before deciding if I feel ok about attending a game

No one knows yet including the govt. All we know is Oct 1st at the earliest. No one has any info on how many will be allowed or how it is decided who is allowed in when season tickets exceed the number that is to be allowed in. It maybe 2021 before spectators are allowed in depending on how things go over the next few months.

The govt said live music could restart from Aug 1st yet have given no info/guidelines to venues as to what they need to do to reopen despite it being only a couple of days away. That hasn't stopped some local venues just going for it mind and I've seen gigs advertised locally with seeming no additional controls put in place.

At my age I think it would be unwise to be one of the first to be let back into the stadium despite my heart telling me otherwise. Many factors will have to be accounted for when making the when and who decision.
A big factor will be what happens to the daily case rate which appears to be on the increase again supposedly amongst younger people.
Hopefully during next season a vaccination will become widely available then we can get back to some semblance of normality

The current Teesside infection rate is around 2 per 100,000 - it we assume 75% of the infections are not picked up that means about 32 people on Teesside are currently infected (based on 400k population)- if 8500 went to a Boro game that's about 2% of the local population. 2% of 32 is around 0.65 person in the full Riverside crowd. I know it only takes 1 person to cause thousands of deaths, but there would be a 33% chance that no one in the whole crowd had the virus as we stand today.

We’ve renewed. Nice to get the refund as it takes the edge off the boy now needing an U18 ticket.
If we don’t get in till Christmas do we get half our money back? Or refund off the following season
