Top Honour for Our Norman - Town Historian

In times like this, I'm the lucky one. I get front seats in honoring this amazing man, he taught many of my residents being a teacher in the now gone Ladgate School in my ward of Berwick Hills -my son owns a house in it's old grounds. He is now a resident of Acklam and he deserves every...

It's official...I am no longer obese

Brilliant, well done you mate. I've gone from 17'1 to 13'11 or 30.4 to 24.8 BMI in just over 4 months. And yes I cheated, but when you get into your 60s you take any help you can get. I've finished my cheat, so will be interested to see if I can keep it off.

Exactly one year - how have Labour done?

I'm not sure which council you work in, but Middlesbrough Council had an real terms increase this year of just less than 4%, this meant we for the first time in 15 years have increased our area care budget by 20%, area care being the main front facing public service we provide.

Exactly one year - how have Labour done?

No. It means very difficult decisions had to be made, no government can please all the people all the time. But as far as I can see they are making progress, and I think most of the population would agree and as time moves on and people get to see the difference the polls will turn and this...

You must have been sleepwalking for the previous 14 years.

Exactly one year - how have Labour done?

It's clearly a work in progress, no one ever said it was going to be easy, the government have upset the far right, the right, the left and the far left, which to me just proves that so much had to be done to fix the mess we were in. 1 year in and most of the predictions, from many on here 15...

    Stockton Town Centre Redevelopment

We have 2 left, the Cleveland Centre is owned by the council, the Hill Street is privately owned. Oh and we do still have the small Dundas which is also privately owned.

Of course it's a good thing, it's just the reform voting knuckle draggers that are moaning about it.

    General Election

A lot of MP's are scared of Reform and are doing they own thing in an attempt to counteract, rather than producing the same consistent message with policies that improve peoples lives, because that's the best way to win over the public.

    General Election

I suspect that Labour would win again, by a much smaller margin, when it comes to the push people in the UK like to have stability and I don't see them voting for Farage's crew, they will in protests votes, but not when it comes to a new government.

Reeves to cut ISA allowance to £5k

This should make you better off, it forces you to invest rather than shove your cash under your pillow. Invest in the UK PLC and everyone will be better off.

Labour is now the party of the wealthy

I live in Berwick Hills and not only a party member, but likely called a senior member, as a councillor and executive with responsibility for neighborhoods. I have to work 2 jobs, so not quite as rich as some might expect.
