    Solar Panels rough cost

We had 14 panels installed on both sides of our detached garage roof last May at a cost of £5k Didn’t bother with a battery as we sell excess back to the grid through octopus at a cost of 15p per kWh and over winter it would have stored hardly anything.

    Sleep problems

Not insomnia but my MS and general muscle twitching overnight caused my sleep to be around 4 hours a night. Was prescribed some tablets to relax my muscles but didn’t like the look of them as the side effects looked grim. Went down the medical cannabis route with Sapphire clinic and now take...

    Heatpumps

Might be worth looking at this rather than a heatpump. https://www.tepeo.com/the-zeb just noticed it after browsing the octopus site and from a very quick read it just replaces your current combi boiler. It’s bloody heavy though at 375kg.

    The Teesside Times

Another one who used to deliver these when I was a young lad. Used to get a decent Christmas bonus from people I delivered to but it was a pain writing 200+ christmas cards but the return was worth it. Used to get at least £100.

Exercise. I'm heading towards my 60th birthday.....

DDPY worked for me, can’t be bothered going to the gym, just roll out the yoga mat, pick the length and difficulty of what I feel like on that day and do it. Started off on the beginner level workouts, followed the plan and now up to advanced level and burning around 400 calories in about 30 to...

    Broad band deals

Have a look at nowtv. Same company as sky and £21 a month. Only get 17mb where I am down in Nottinghamshire but it’s decent enough for Netflix / IPTV and the occasional large download.

    Is anyone with Octopus energy

Stuck in the middle of a dispute with Bulb at the moment, had a smart meter put in last year, all was ok but they decided in August that something was wrong with it and recalculated all my bills which doubled my electricity usage putting me from £100 in credit to £500 in debit. They even changed...

Your view on Private Health Insurance?

Brain and spine check, I did have another MRI with contrast a few years previously but nothing showed at that time. The symptoms that got me a diagnosis were weakness on one side where my foot was dragging a bit, then my hand stopped working properly a couple of weeks after that to the point...

Your view on Private Health Insurance?

I've started a new job recently which is dealing with the US healthcare system, I'm incredibly glad we have the NHS still and would never want to go to a system like they have. The tablets I'm taking would cost $20,000+ a year depending on what state I was living in over there and didnt have...

Your view on Private Health Insurance?

Went private a few years ago as I was having some odd issues with balance/feeling on my right side. The NHS time to see a neurologist was six months, paid to go private and was seen in 3 days, had an MRI 2 days later and 3 days after that diagnosed with MS and then referred back to the NHS for...

Fitness plans to lose 3 stone.

Not a massive amount, cut out high fat yoghurts and that’s about it. Still eat bread every day. Never really eaten lots of takeaways or processed food anyway. didn’t do any exercise at all apart from dog walking before I started DDPY and it was getting diagnosed with MS that made me want to do...

Fitness plans to lose 3 stone.

https://ddpyoga.com/ Been doing this for the last 3 years, lost 3 stone in weight gained a fair bit of muscle, flexibility is miles better and had no back pain since I started it. Only drawback is I needed to buy a lot of clothes as my waist went down from over 36" to around 32". All you need is...
