Those poor Everton fans

Its hardly been sweetness and light for them these last 10 years. In fact its been a pretty miserable experience for them all round
And there is no light at the end of the tunnel. It seems to me that they are gearing up for relegation and hoping Dyche's experience in the Championship will get them promoted on the first go.

Myself, I hope they do a Leeds and drop down to L1.

Not one player through the door yesterday was a surprise.

His First 3 games

Arsenal
Liverpool
Leeds

Ouch

It was always leaving it late, appointing a new manager on transfer eve, according to SSN they had a few irons in the fire, but none of there targets wanted to join them, which is both concerning but also understandable.
Every other team around them has strengthened, Everton weakened losing one of their better players.
If Dyche turns this around it will be a miracle.

Did anyone see Clinton Morrison on sky last night arguing why he thinks they’ll survive. Basically it’s Everton in it was his rationale.

Hopefully that arrogance of well it’s Everton….will be their undoing.

The thing is though that it is Everton and we have spent our whole footballing lives watching them as the turd that refuses to flush.

I can see where the thinking comes from that they will somehow escape again.

If we don't go up this season I would prefer to not have a Dyche Everton in the champo with us by the way.

They will cope
It’s only a bloody game of football
The same could be said almost everything, its only a job, only a marriage etc... football means a lot to some people so maybe don't just throw the 'only' word around when different things affect different people, in different ways. If Boro were to go down to L1 it would absolutely ruin my mental health but hey ho, its only a bloody game of football eh

The problem is these teams see relegation as being worse than clinging on by your finger nails and being 'the turd that won't flush'. I know it's not guaranteed but maybe going down means you can have the enjoyment of a successful promotion season or at least it means you have to reset and re-evaluate the club and try and correct all the sh it that keeps going wrong. They need something to change.

Hmm I disagree, it's never a good thing getting relegated....

Their arrogance was summed the day on talk sport when a fan rang up and said this season is worse than the year we went down in 2014 ( or what ever date he said) ..,

The presenter corrected him with but you didn’t go down you’ve never gone down in the prem.

The Everton then said yes that’s what I meant.

As to him almost going down was as bad as it gets… they are in for such a shock if it happens.

No Mersey derby lol love it.

With a bit of luck they will go down, and like some others have, go straight through to the third division the next season.

If your football team means more to you than your marriage or family or job then you’ve probably got your priorities in life wrong. Would be my take.

It is only a bloody game!

If you look at history though, they've basically always been what they are now since 1970, aside from a short purple patch in the mid-80s.
