AARON RAMSEY FROM VILLA

Where does he play

Says hes a centre midfielder - is he one of those fluffy attacking midfield types with zero defenisve attributes or can he do a role wide?

If Akpom is the number 10, i can only assume the club see him as a wide option

Same player as McGree, essentially.

I agree, I thought the other day it would be interesting to see Ramsey under Wagner as he was one of the few to look like a goal threat under Smith

Maybe they've decided the two loan players were our best chance of getting out of the division this season. It's always hard to get decent perms in January for good value.
Understudy to McGree and/or Chuba I would think. We can't rely on them playing every game between now and the end of the season so a sensible addition. Interesting times.

He will have to be good to replace Mcgree - he has been superb under Carrick
100% - we saw with Archer that we can be patient but I've got an inkling this lad will be first choice on the left by the end of the season.

Should be some fairly natural link up with Archer too given (I think) they came through together.

I'm not sure about about the sheer amount of loans. It's still developing other teams players.

I also shudder to think how much we are paying for Muniz and Mowett who ain't getting a kick. Throw in Steffen/Archer and now Ramsey.

It appears to be a significant outlay for players who won't be with us next season. I get they are 'better' than we can afford to buy. Yet not overly part of the new business model.

You've just said it in your comment. They are better than we can afford to buy.

Now we're sitting in 3rd and looking pretty comfortable, the new "business model" will be to get into the premier league, and to do that we need the best players we can get.

It’s pretty evident that the squad will need rotating we looked knackered at the start of this year

We need rotation in midfield and in the attacking roles and we’ll have that now, especially when we start getting fixtures coming fast again

A little bit disappointed that we have let a player leave and replaced him with another loan but as others have already said maybe the Summer is the better time for permanent signings.

What is for sure though is that we now have some great options for the top end of the pitch. Not sure we have been able to say that since the days of Jimmy, Viduka, Yakubu and Massimo
