Great historical trainspotting locations

Even with the restriction at 70 in them days - due to the sharp curve north of the station - me an our kid managed to collect most of them.
Caught a few at Peterbrorugh an Retford (y)
 
IMG_20230127_192829.jpgI used to live in a former railway station which had been converted into flats. I had a small patio area which was previously the platform. I would sit on my patio and think about all the people who had previously set foot where I was sitting, people going on holiday, people going away to the wars, I would often sit and think if these walls could tell a story.
I wasn't in a good place mentally at the time and these musings was one of the things which got me through it.
(The photo is a picture of the station in the 1950s, my front door was roughly where the ticket office sign was).

And I lived in Holbeach for a short time as well. Not short enough…
