I'm not in the picture but I will have either been stood at the wall to the left of the goal looking from the Holgate or just behind the barrier on the left hand side of the walkway.Its 1972/3, because Boro have no red chest band and that is a sparse crowd probably only 6,000. Crowds dropped off that season pretty badly. A lot of low scoring games.

The crowd inside the stadium was policed with police, not stewards.
I don't remember going to the game so the young lad with the dark brown mop hair was not me, but I think I looked like that in 1973.
Interesting. It's a little odd that those seats are so full for such a small crowd.The attendance was 7,686. And judging by how full the south stand seats look, blows the myth that people much preferred to stand back in the 70s.
Didn't they also use it for the radio?Just to the left of the Jack Hatfield advert you can see the little booth that served as the ‘media centre’ when we were on the tv. The camera used to be outside the booth iirc.
