Everton put up for sale

Financially Newcastle were run pretty well by Ashley, Everton are anything but.

Massive debts, packed full of big money signings on high wages with decreasing sell on value, a boat anchor of a stadium half built.

Think they are in terminal trouble, can't see a way out for them. It had to happen to a big club and they look to have hit the jackpot.

Footballers wages are crippling also ran teams.

If Newcastle owners bought Man Utd
Chelsea owners bought Liverpool
Mike Ashley with Everton
and Everton owners with Newcastle
.. oh and we sell Gestede to Leeds for £6m and end up with. Bielsa!!

Also, none of their players have contract clauses that automatically reduce their wages if they’re relegated, because they’ve been in the top flight for 70 years or whatever it is.

So they’ve got a serious task on their hands if it does happen.

Pretty much what happened to Sunderland.. apart from being in the top flight for any length of time!

Sale prices..

Newcastle £300m
Everton £450m
Liverpool £4bn
Chelsea £4.2bn
Man Utd £5bn

Spurs and Arsenal around £2nn between them!

Asking £500m is quite funny, take a few zeroes off that when they’re mired in the Champo and haemorrhaging money this time next year.

What would the losses be for a PL club the size of Everton in the Championship? We’ve never really had a team with a wage bill like that come down since wages went absolutely wild. £100m losses a season? More?

I don't see how Everton can be valued at anything other than nominal, they have something like £350 million in debt and a £500milliion stadium to pay for, that would value the club well over a £billion. How?

I thought it was £450m with the £350m debt being wiped out? Maybe £100m these days is nominal!

This must impact them hiring the next manager, would someone go there to only potentially go as soon as a new owner comes in.

Everton are in a bad way, revolting fans - take that how you choose, owner wanting out & massive new stadium project.. & in the relegation mix.. not good.

you have to wonder if the Premier League is in a mess with many of their top clubs up for sale.
I think a lot of owners were banking on the super league happening tbh

The 12 founding members -
Arsenal - financially sound
Chelsea - were for sale
Liverpool - for sale
Manchester City - sports washing
Manchester United - for sale
Tottenham - new stadium
AC Milan - ??
Inter Milan -??
Juventus - always something wrong
Atletico Madrid - ??
Barcelona - been in a mess for ages now
Real Madrid - state sponsored

The Milan teams are getting a new stadium. Nothing finalised yet I don't think but San Siro to be demolished and a new stadium to be built costing £1bn.
