Boro fans in the Sunderland end

I did it once back in 2003 - we won 3-1. We were sat in the stand opposite where the Boro fans were, where away fans sit now. I managed to sit on my hands when we scored first but lots didnt, it was chaos. Sure some Mackems were trying to get at Ali and Bernie in the commentary box too. Ive always been in the away end since. You cant enjoy it, so there seems little point in doing it.

I was sat with the Sunderland fans next to the Boro fans when Emerson scored one of his belters.
They’d been racially abusing him before then
When It went in I jumped up and turned to those behind me and shouted something along the lines of ‘keep yer frickin mouths shut next time’
Not my finest moment but, in fairness, a load of the locals kept the peace.

I left early (under stewards advice)

I did the same, I was half way along the side stand to your left.
Had to keep quiet but thoroughly enjoyed the game.
You do wonder just how many Boro fans were in the home ends that day (and will be tomorrow).

With the poor allocation given to us (as always). Does anyone know of anyone going in the Sunderland end on Sunday. I'm sure there will be a fair few.

Don't think I could do it myself as if a Boro goal goes in against them lot it would be a natural reaction to celebrate.
It’s definitely going to happen it ludicrous to do this in an empty ground ( not a sell out) they are asking for trouble.

Once, with my daughter, who I explained to that we world need to keep very quiet if boro scored.

Queue a Stuani worldy from 45 yards (ish), me losing my head followed by the locals getting a bit riled.

I then re-emphasised my point to her, that if we scored again we couldn't afford to get carried away twice otherwise we'd by lynched.

You can guess the rest.....

I went in the home end at SOS, and at the time they were in disarray. When their team was announced half their players got booed. I felt very safe hurling abuse at Sunderland players because the home fans were doing the same. Happy days! We won of course, I think Phil Stamp scored.
I‘m older and wiser now. The Metro journey back to Gosforth is no fun being crammed with Mackems, so will be watching on TV with a can or two of beer. UTB

Twice in the Fulwell End, lost 4-0 the first time, went with my mates from Sunderland Poly. Second time we won 1-0, Bosco scoring, we could have had a lot more but Chris Turner in goal for them was superb. I was with my Mackem mates and no chew.

As good as that first goal was I love watching the second goal. Ripped them apart.

Ironically the only tickets available now are near the boro end. Theyve tried to leave a big a gap as possible between the fans but day by day more blocks have been released (there's still an entire corner of segregation)

Did it once: the 2-2 draw at Roker where Emerson and Ravanelli scored for us. Not a pleasant experience but got out unscathed.

Anyone see any segregation here in the first meeting at the SOL?

Not Sunderland but I once stood in the Gallowgate End at St James. It was in 1989 and we drew 2-2. When Mark Brennan put us 2-1 ahead it was a fantastic sight seeing the Boro fans in the opposite end to me going absolutely mental 😀

Me and the brother-in-law went to Old Trafford in 2008 for a league cup match, we were in with the home fans, they took an early lead going into the second half 1-0, Adam Johnson scored for us to make it 1-1, me and brother in law jumped up cheering, before realising nobody else around us was celebrating, luckily for us they went on to score 2 late goals and beat us 3-1, first and last time for me 😁
