Charity shop thread pulled?

There many comments that went too far and really angered me.
I do not want to be associated with them. Shameful
I thought the counter-arguments were sufficiently cogent to demonstrate how untenable the original poster's position was. Better we see these and argue against them, than drive them elsewhere. This is a form of thought prohibition that I personally do not like. In short: give them enough rope.

It made me feel totally sick to think that in some way I was helping give a platform to people prepared to be offensive about charity shops and charity workers.

Was I being offensive to Charity workers?, I acknowledge my use of words was rubbish so pulled it but if I was offensive to SOME shops then in reality I was being offensive to the organisation' which I shouldn't have been offensive but more clear about my gripes, but I have done work in Charity shops ( voluntary and It was voluntary I wasn't sent by the job centre) and my experience in one of them left me feeling less than happy.
