Rumour that Saudis might sell NUFC to buy Man U

Awwww, I thought it was actually something genuinely mooted rather than some random guy with no link to Saudi Arabia saying that they could do it.

I can't see that happening.

Hopefully it does though, it would remove the stain of their ownership from the North East and Newcastle could go back to just being a regular well supported club.
 
Would they have sell to buy or could they own both but under different ownership structures and individuals?
 
I'd like it to happen because I'd like Newcastle to be free of the stigma of the Saudis. Local rivalry aside, got no axe to grind with the barcodes, and certainly no wish to see them in disaster mode.

I've lived longer in Newcastle/Tyneside than I ever lived in Boro, and feel more kinship with the wider north east than the rest of England, that's for sure.
