Australia v Denmark - Riley starts.

If Argentina don't end up topping their group Australia stand a real chance playing the other 3 to progress to the QF, but it's most likely Argentina are just going to get stronger.

Denmark have been so disappointing this tournament, they were tipped to do well by “experts” before the tournament.

He could do, but I think he'd want the break to digest the defeat, personally.
You’d hope he’d be coming back buzzing and bursting to play surely ?
Arrives back on a Sunday and our game isn’t till the next Saturday, take Monday and Tuesday off and return Wednesday ready to go ???

Can't imagine any player coming back buzzing from getting knocked out of a World Cup.

They kick-off at 10pm on Saturday night, Qatar time.
Even if he was buzzing, rather than gutted, I don't think he'd be hopping on a plane immediately.

For 'normal' tournaments in the summer, it is usual practice that the squad comes in for pre-season on 'x' date and those away on full international duty come back 7-10 days later isn't it?

I assume that clubs have some sort of agreement in place with their players who are away to get back by a certain number of days after their last game, or the end of the tournament?

It’s new territory for all clubs for sure as look at the prem and how many key players they have and yet they start straight after the final as prem starts on dec 21 dec final is dec 18th.

It will be interesting how breaks are given out if at all.
