As wrighty has just said the whole world is watching so if players countries believe in the cause then do it and take the consequences.
 
they cant as they have been paid off like everyone else involved, thats why players (who are not played off) make out they are going to do something and then someone puts a stop to it

I am not sure what you are suggesting, Jedi.
If Harry Kane were to wear an armband that FIFA has banned, and gets booked for it each half and gets sent off, do you think that would change anything? Apart from our chances of progressing in the tournament.
I think that the gay laws issue in States such as Qatar has had plenty of publicity, which is absolutely right.
What would you like to happen as a protest?

The sooner people stand up to fifa every captain that can should do it en masse you imagine how this would make fifa look.

I wasnā€™t joking btw England and Wales should walk out holdings rainbow flag between them. As we both clearly feel strongly then do it.
 
I disagree with your premise. In my view it is clear that the ref would book him, same as if he took his shirt off after scoring a goal. If he does it twice it is then a red card.
 
Do you think a ref wants to be known as the one that booked a player for that really??

That will haunt them their entire career long after this World Cup has gone

I think we are now close to agreement. Neither of us can be sure if the ref would carry out FIFAs threat. You originally said that no ref would book him.
All the countries who originally planned to wear them have backed down. I agree with their assessment of risk and reward in this case, but accept that you could be right.
 
Germany are asking CAS to confirm legality of FIFA move & all euro nations may be able to wear the armband by Sunday..

Players should stick with the rules. People can decide if Qatar is a country they'd be comfortable visiting, or not..
 
The FA and Kane absolutely **** the bed. I heard Kane say the decision had been taken out of his hands which is nonsense. Is he really trying to tell us he could get hold of a 'OneLove' armband?

German players covered their mouths in the team photo before their game today. Better than nothing.
 
Germany players protesting this way points to them being silenced, that to me is very ominous if that is in fact what they are saying

FIFA integrity if it wasn`t bad before is on the floor, if CAS confirm illegality of FIFA ruling then the FIFA's role as governing body becomes untenable

I may have been too quick to criticise Kane for his actions as i suspect there will be a player wide protest from here
