I'm A Celeb - Matt Hancock

Absolutely not - in fact it's the complete opposite. I believe in people being given second chances. The point is, Boy George is somebody who has been given a second chance and has been able to continue his career, yet he doesn't appear to agree that others should be afforded the same privilege.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the fact that Hancock is in there, but George's victim feels the same way about George being in there. Just imagine how difficult it must have been for George's victim to stomach if he watched last nights' episode, and had to listen to George saying he wanted to leave because of Hancock.
The massive difference being George admitted his crimes and was punished for them. Hancock utterly denies his and is free to carry on his job AND earn £40000 whilst neglecting said job

Actually he didn't, he plead not guilty, blaming his actions on a psychotic episode due to his drug addiction. Still denies and minimises his actions.
I'm no fan of Hancock but for Boy George to be taking the moral high ground is pretty ironic.

Enjoyed last nights program, thought Hancock smashed his challenge & after a cold start from his campmates is starting to win them over

So you don't think people who have been punished for a crime should be allowed to have any say afterwards?

I hope not. I don't think a man like that should be forgiven until he at least admits his mistakes. I know in this country, he'll never pay for them

He has to get back in the party first

Did anyone else notice he claimed he resigned as other broke the rules I’m done sort of stand against covid decency

no matt you were sacked for snogging in your office.
But his only crime was he fell in love!

It's a disgrace he is on there but ITV have got what they wanted. On a personal level, this is the 1st time ever I've commented on the show, and there are no doubt millions like me.

Still not watching though

Let's be clear this light entertainment jape is covidwashing for Hancock. Let's show hancock in a new light so people forget his disasterous decision making over covid. I noticed it was almost an apology for falling in love and breaking covid rules.however nothing said and not an an ounce of remorse for the thousands he killed as bumbling health minister

Whilst I'm not his biggest fan, I think it takes some cajoles to go on a national TV reality show to bare brunt. Course he's going to get pelters, online abuse and voted in to do Bushtucker trials but he's put himself there.

I think he'll win people over.

Not when he’s doing it for 400k they won’t.

Seems it's working already on winning some people over. It's nothing about being brave, it's about narcissism and a complete lack of self awareness.

Matt Hancock is not a victim, he doesn't deserve sympathy or respect or anything like that. The damage he's F***ing done to thousands of people's lives.

So many people in this country so easily manipulated. Shouldn't be surprised to see the usual gullible, Tory supporting, suspects practically rooting for him though.

100% 👏👏👏

"I messed up and I fessed up" yet only with relation to his extra marital affair.
His lack of self awareness as to why people might actually be more than a little uncomfortable about him is deafening.
As an independent player on the programme he is coming across fine, but they are celebrities and you don't write off the back story just because they get 11 stars.

Chris will tackle him properly at some stage, as will others.

Maybe he has a Saul on the road to Damascus moment and comes clean, maybe he donates all his fee...but I'm not holding my breath.

It is all relative though isn't it. They'll all be getting their fair share of the prize pot.
Yeah, and none of the rest of them are responsible for the deaths of thousands of pensioners. Or are neglected a role as a paid representative of the people. So not quite sure what your point is there? Some bloke from holly oaks REALLY could do with the exposure and probably needs the money. A corrupt, cheating, disgraced ex minsters, not so much

No that's neither what I think or said. However serious a persons crimes they have the right to have their say on anything. In turn though, if they do give their opinions on morality and crime, others have the same right to point out the irony and hypocrisy.
