Absolutely sick of this group of players

If we are being honest we have ended up with the squad our leader has deserved. Poor decision after poor decision, a recruitment team that has systematically reduced squad quality season on season and next to no investment in the squad.

The last time the man ceded a bit of control was to Karanka whose personality was difficult, demanding and successful. What happened? Gibson didn’t like it and so retreated back to his insular parochial ways.

I see no prospect of this improving any time soon. The structure is fine but it’s manned by incompetence from the owner downwards.
 
West Ham's English defender Craig Dawson, who almost joined Wolves this summer, wants to leave the Hammers in January. The 32-year-old's contract runs out next summer.

Any of them, on any given day, based on last season, according to many of the posters on this board and MoM ratings wherever you choose up to look.

Pls look anywhere you like to see last season's ratings.

Where is it recorded, anywhere, him being our best player last season?

Let’s try this another way since this is a board about opinions and they’re all subjective.

In my opinion Tav was our best player and the most consistent in terms of bringing energy and tenancity to our team.

Who in your opinion is better in our current team? Your opinion, not that of someone from the gazette.
 
I don't hold my opinion above people who are professional in their field. Which is why I suggested you look to see what they said.

My opinion is no more valid than yours, on yours over mine, unless one of us is an expert pundit.

I don't see how you can compare the performance of this midfield against someone who isn't there, though.

Your totally right re opinions, that’s what makes the board interesting!

I’m just surprised as a fan you don’t form your own. Part of the fun isn’t it?

To me it’s really obvious the midfield lacks pace and energy. Replacing someone like Tav with Mowatt is going to negatively impact any team. WBA are bottom and still thought it was a good idea to ship him out. Says a lot.

We seem to rate everyone else's players right up until we sign them. Then, as soon as we let them go again, rave about how great they were.

McGree was going to be fantastic, and chose us over Champions League football at Celtic. Now he isn't anything to write home about. Wait til he leaves. Look at Leadbetter (Leadboots as he was called).

Fans are all basket cases, everywhere... 😂

Watch mcgree’s attempted header clearance for their first goal yesterday, weak! The lad just gets knocked out of the way to be effective in this league, I’m sure he would have done really well for Celtic against the dog and duck every week in jock land mind.

Also plenty of Mackems complained week on week on RTG about Leadbetter’s lack of mobility when they signed him, the same reason he couldn’t get his game for us anymore.

We have been relying far too heavily on dross loans from the prem to paper over the cracks. I am really sick of these loans that do nothing for the squad and give a false sense of security during the transfer windows. how many do we get that 'need a few games to settle in' when in actual fact they are shi.te and its obvious from the start?
muniz looked good for about 10 minutes but is now sh.ite almost every game.

Instead of bulking the squad with bang average players why not buy fewer, higher quality players who will bring something to the squad PERMANENTLY?

I would rather us sign the stand out players from lower leagues than waste millions on lazy overpaid wasters on loan from the prem.

That's the kind of thing, yes 😂

The whole defense was weak and not picking players up properly for both goals. Free players at the back post and centrally for the second goal.

McGree played really well for much of the game, popping up in space and causing lots of problems.

Akpom, who we'd also written off had one of his best games for me. Holding up playing, turning in possession and running at the defence.

We're where we deserve to be in the league. Disharmony in the club created by a manager who wanted to be somewhere else, has been the issue, imho.

I don't agree. In another season you may be right, but if we win a couple of games we're midtable. Go on a run of wins, and higher than that. So few points between 18th and 9th.

We do have to stop leaking stupid goals though.

It’s the winning a couple of games bit that’s the trouble.

We’ve played 6 of the botttom 8 teams. We’ve won 1 of them. We play the only team in that bottom 8 we have yet to face on Tuesday. Away.

Where are these consistent wins coming from?

I agree with you, but its winning those games, looking at the Wigan result now seems a one off

That’s delusion. Have you watched us this season? We don’t score enough, can’t defend and have a weak, spineless mentality. This side has every trait of any relegated side I’ve seen in my 60 years supporting this club.

We are that bad and people need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I saw yesterday that we have conceded the second highest number of set piece goals. That’s basic stuff and we are dreadful at it.
