When will we see a Boro press conference announced?

I’ll be surprised if it’s this week. The two parties clearly aren’t very close and Leo will be in charge for a week or two more yet.

I'm guessing internal media interview with the fella who has done Leo's last couple if pre match press conferences. Paul Dews?

You're all MSM slaves. The rumours of Carrick being lined up are there as a mere diversion. All will be revealed tomorrow when Gibbo unzips his human body suit, reveals himself as a senior illuminati lizard and Keith Lamb takes up the job of his Cthulhuan translator, through the medium of a fax machine.

Does a new manager need a press conference to be introduced in the modern game? I can't remember if Wilder did one, not that I'm saying he didn't.

Every first team new signing used to involve a press conference but they don't do them any more so I imagine eventually new managers will go the same way. I would much rather Carrick spend the extra time on the training pitch than fielding inane questions from pre approved reporters.

The club will want to invite as much outside media as possible for the new appointment - they will want as much publicity as they can generate from as many tv, newspapers and radio outlets. The situation is very different with Leo as caretaker.
I expect there will be a bit of notice before the press conference.
