Pretty packed too, I was pleased for them. Proper good singalong!Rock City
Yeah, "Child Of The Flatlands" (his ode to Billingham) is especially good.Always a great live band with one of the best front men, I actually think their last two albums are their best by some distance.

This.A band that has aged brilliantly, remained relevant and always puts on an exceptional show.
Without doubt though, my favourite aspect of them is that I can hear my accent being sung in songs. It's so prominent at times that I get goosebumps.
They were saying they were hoping to tour a new album, so that's something to look forward to.One of my favourites, started Uni in Newcastle when they were just starting out, felt like we saw them every week First couple of albums are tough to be imo although I really got into the latest one.
Brilliant setlist last night! Karaoke Plays!! Would have been tempted to go if I'd remembered but it's a bit of drag getting to/from Nottingham from S Yorks midweek. Hopefully they give this tour another run but I think it's unlikely.
What did you think of Pip Blom? I'm a good friend of her and her Dad Erwin (who was in the band Eton Crop)...both been on my podcast too. Amazing energy live
Burning Hell excellent band...how was it?Was in Nottingham the night before for the Burning Hell. Was going to stay for MP but came to Sheffield which is where I am now. Going to see Counting Crows tonight.
It was a toss up between MP and Pup in Leeds. In the end we did neither but had a great night in Sheffield finishing of at The Washington.
Was great but soundman didn't turn up and it started late and they had to jiggle the set about. But as you say always excellent.Burning Hell excellent band...how was it?
I had Mathias on my podcast many moons ago...top fellaOff to The Burning Hell next week. Amelia Coburn and Brix Smith with Deux Furieux beforehand. Looks a great week.
