Major conspiracy theorist ….lied.

The remit for the vaccinations was never to prevent infection so that was never tested. The fact that they in the end did lower the chances of infection, particularly before the delta variant, was a lucky accident.

lower the chances of - serious - infection, & that was always their aim.

** see the tool is now asking for donations from - supporters - & promising no money will be used to pay his legal expenses... is he just an opportunist looking to make $$ from gullible people (paranoid people?) & sell them on his conspiracies & his products (available on his infowars website) very much money flowing to the top..

Jones should be serving a long jail sentence. The fact that he continues his war on the truth on the airways even after all this serves to show he is a dangerous psychopath. Watching those two victims of Sandy Hook react after the judgement is completely heartbreaking. They will never recover.
Anybody who bought a product from this man, and there would have been thousands given the value of the company, have financed the harassment and mental torture and physical abuse of these tragic hit people. US in continueing to allow it to continue is heading to hell in a handcart if not already in hell.

He's absolutely a psychopath, he even appears in Jon Ronsons book the Pschopath Test through an accidental meeting before the author or Jones were famous

They need to teach critical thinking in schools. Both here and the states. It's staggering how many people are completely incapable of it and just take things at face value.

The internet is an incredible tool, but it's also a very dangerous one. Alex Jones is a perfect, very obvious example. But there's plenty of others.

Appreciate for the Tories it suits their interests not to have people question too much the guff they get fed, but labour should really be looking at this once they get into power.

A lot of the damage that has been and is still being done to this country can be linked back to a lack of critical thinking skills amongst large parts of the electorate.

Absolutely gobsmacked the number of people defending Jones under the "freedom of speech/first amendment" guise (Farage being one of them the odious f*cktard).

He knew exactly what he was saying/doing and the bottom line is he was a fooking no mark grifter how somehow stumbled upon the formula that spreading misinformation to millions of gullible people somehow made him ridiculously rich. So to continue chasing the $$$$$ the bullsh*t and lies peddled had to get bigger to keep him relevant......and keep the $$$$ flowing.

Sadly, he's just one of a number of people doing this, with millions of brain dead followers.

I foresee a future where what people say on the internet becomes much more governed, and treated as if said in real life....and so it should be. The intentin of hte internet was a wonderous thing, but the reality is it's become a place for the sociopaths to manipulate and grift

The internet is a Pandora's box. "The inventor of the internet is akin to the guy who invented the terminator in many respects" Ben Elton.

It is the harbinger of so many things that are wrong.

No, it's not the internets fault, & it's more of a stage / platform for every individual & their performance allowing them to go world wide - that is how Jones became such an effluencer..

These are the same people though who think that this also means freedom from consequence. They are that idiotic.

The internet is a largely ungoverned platform, providing a great deal of anonymity, and the ability to use automation and AI to target people better, to understand what pushes peoples buttons and aim your marketing at them, bang for buck it provides huge benefits to the wealthy, by giving them a method of understanding motivations and pandering to them for a personal agenda. It's frankly frightening where this will go in future.

indeed, was watching a program about algorithms on BBC last night & they mentioned how likes & dislikes are used to curate peoples feeds - it's just spreading & feeding the bigotry & hate.

The latest conspiracy I'm seeing reeling in otherwise normal people is the WEF / Great Reset

Yeah, the covid grifters all pivoted to this (and slating net zero) almost in unison, once the covid misinfo gravy train started to run out of steam. Our resident conspiracy theorist suckers probably still haven’t recognised that they are victim of misinformation networks. But they should at least recognise that a number of the people that they got their (wrong) covid commentary from, who they follow on social media, pumping out the same vague message about WEF/net zero at exactly the same time, from out of nowhere, is a red flag.

What's that conspiracy? Haven't seen that one?

@FabioPorkpie these suckers you refer to, did they once say at the launch of the vaccine program that it didn't prevent transmission? "Get yourself vaccinated to protect others" I believe was one of the selling points. That's what made me get the vaccine three times.

Pfizer were certainly saying it helped reduce transmission. Well up until the director of said company admitted early this week that they didn't test the vaccine's ability to prevent transmission. So threats of no jab no job, no social life, vaccine passports, threats of removal from society, all based on a lie.

That said, the vaccine has done good things and saved lives. Pfizer dodged a bullet there.
