Cattermole and Agnew?

I am extremely critical of Gibson.
Even I can't see him bringing back Agnew and making him Cattermole's number 2.

There again given the £22.5m windfall, I thought he would bring players in this summer to have a good go at promotion....

Cattermole and Agnew? Not happening.

Think by the sounds of it Boro have bucked their usual trend by having a manager in place ready to take over. So, as they should, they are speaking to quite a few potential candidates. This takes a bit of time.....and social media rumour mill is going into overdrive.

I know this is said at practically every appointment, but this one is critical for both on and off the pitch reasons. Get it wrong, we could end up in League 1 with an unworkable transfer model.......and a further complete rebuild from Bausor down.

Leo in charge for a few games - fine. Unless new manager hits the ground running from day one, looks like the promotion party will be on hold (again) and we will be in another rebuild phase (again).

But we need long term stability - club at present with managerial appointments is a joke.

Imagine it. Would be horrible

It's parochialism on steroids if this happens.
Some clubs do it well, but usually on the back of long-term success. We've been in the doldrums for years and so our parochialism is more about sentiment than it is about talent.
If this happens then we need to face up to a very austere future under Gibson.
My only hope is that it is part of some plan to cut our debt to GO'N and eventually allow Gibson to sell the club.

Why are people so keen to promote academy players, yet so adverse to promoting academy coaches??? Not advocating it, just wondering why there seems to be such polar opposites on peoples thought process.
One academy player looking completely out of their depth in the first team just goes back to the academy a game later, minimal harm done. Basket case of a manager, less so.

We're so tinpot if Caterrmole and Steve Agnew are the height of our ambition.

Least we might get a run at the Netto Cup or whatever it's called these days.

Exactly giving the likes of Calum kavanagh or Hayden Hackney minutes on the field isn’t going to get us relegated….
