We are in a real mess

Weak, imbalanced, substandard squad and no manager.

Sort it out Gibson I want to say.

He’s not going to though, he got us into this position but I don’t think he is able to get us out of it.

He seems to have put his faith in Scott - why?

What has Scott ever done to warrant this?

Look at the summer’s recruitment…..

Steffen is looking more solid, Giles can cross a ball and that’s about it.

Muniz seems to have lost the will.

The rest add very little value.

I think I would rather have seen Scott go and Wilder stay.

Wilder has done far more in the game.

Hopeless.

👏🏻

Again this is spot on.

Wilder’s heart wasn’t in it so he needed to go. That doesn’t mean that Scott gets a free pass.

We are a shambles, and it has now become about staying up rather than looking going up.

We don't know what the remit of Scott is? Making money for Gibson? If that's the case it was an excellent transfer window

It's been about staying up for more than a few games now. I can't understand how people were thinking about getting into the top 6 when it was clear our objective is to keep out of the bottom 6.
It's going to take time to build some 'escape velocity' to break free of relegation gravity. We're going to have to become more solid and bore our way to safety. This ain't a job for a Carrick or even Rob Edwards we're going to need a Pulis/Warnock/Allardyce type (or a Karanka) who are going to get us back to basics and hard to score against first off.

Judging by the mess we're in we might need ALL of the aforementioned.😐

Perhaps Wilder’s heart wasn’t in it because he was let down by those around him.
Frustratingly we don't know what has actually gone on behind the scenes.

It may be that Wilder's heart hasn't been in since he was linked to Burnley, and Gibson didn't want to back him last summer, because he didn't trust him.

Equally, it may be that Wilder's heart was in it until earlier this season, when he realised just how badly the recruitment team had screwed up, then he became disillusioned.

Or since he realised what a shower he had around him.

We probably will never know.

Even if that’s the case it wasn’t. We sold the clubs only real two assets (possibly minus Fry) for next to nothing in football terms. Loosing them and not replacing them has made the entire squad far worse and lost value on probably every player we own.
We filled the squad with loans again likely on big wages who will all need to be replaced and now we are once again looking at the prospect of relegation which will wipe millions off the club

I don’t think we’ll go down but we will struggle if Gibson makes a poor appointment. I don’t know who he has lined up but it needs to be good to sort these players into a cohesive unit. Carrick would be a huge gamble imo - I don’t think a rookie manager is what we need right now

I was warming to the idea of Carrick. However after today, that non-performance and our current league position, I agree I don’t think he is what we need at the minute.

I think Scot is a good appointment but I think it will take a while for him to get things right .He needs to sort the recruitment side of things I have faith in him .But Gibson and his partner not so much faith.

Why do you have such faith in Scott?
