My personal favourite player. Certainly the best defender we have for me. Also seems to relax Jones I reckon.I find it absolutely astonishing that Dijksteel can’t get a game ahead of him. Every time Dijksteel is brought on we improve.
We are just a better side all round with him on the pitch. For me he is the best defender at the club by a country mile, he is quick, and he carries the ball out of defence well. Everything Wilder should want from a central defender. My personal favourite player. Certainly the best defender we have for me. Also seems to relax Jones I reckon.
He links up miles better with Jones, can't get my head around itI find it absolutely astonishing that Dijksteel can’t get a game ahead of him. Every time Dijksteel is brought on we improve.
He also has a tendency to switch off at least once every time he plays - see the Watford game. I do like him, and he’s great bringing the ball forward, so maybe he could be utilised in midfield perhaps ?We are just a better side all round with him on the pitch. Against Sunderland we improved when Dijksteel replaced McNairAgainst QPR djiksteel was taken off for mcnair and we started playing a lot better.
Against Swansea mcnair played djiksteel didn't and we won.
Against Sunderland we again won with mcnair starting. We scored with mcnair on the field. He was taken off for djiksteel and Sunderland came back into it.
I think djiksteel has been better than mcnair this season, but let's not pretend he's the golden ticket. He's put in plenty of dire performances. They're both pretty inconsistent.
My biggest disappointment with mcnair is the lack of crosses he gets in when playing that position. After Giles he's the best crosser at the club.

They barely had a sniff around our goal in the second half, in the first half they should have scored. Simms contribution stopped when Dijksteel came on.The second half against Sunderland was awful, Dijksteel came on in the 51st minute.
We did not improve, we declined really badly.
Not that I think Dijksteel was to blame for that.
Chopping and changing too much doesn’t help, we’ve had plenty of dire performances this season from some players who always get picked.Against QPR djiksteel was taken off for mcnair and we started playing a lot better.

That really poor start to the season that lasted 90 minutes against West Brom then 45 minutes against QPR? Yeah thats a really long period to prove yourself inDijksteel had a really poor start to the season, culminating in an awful first half performance against QPR which saw him taken off at half time and lose his place in the side.
We seem to be having a merry-go-round argument of who's actually the problem in defence.
