for those that missed the news this morning

A bank holiday across the UK has been approved by King Charles III for the day of the funeral of his mother Queen Elizabeth II

I expect many companies these days have clauses in their zero hour contracts stipulating that any additional bank holidays on top of the regular annual ones will be honoured only at the employer's discretion. Do you really think Prime and Uber Eats is going to stop for one second more than they have to?

I’d have rather had the bank holiday AND the footy continue, and I still don’t understand why both things couldn’t have happened.

If I had to chose one though, I’d be in the same camp as you - work and footy continues.
 
FFS Hope it's not the Monday have an appointment with a consultant for a dodgy knee I have been waiting for don't want it cancelling also rather see the Boro win than have a day of work lol
