So, basically every Tory MP is being a good little Tory and obeying the whip. Never mind how it effects their constituents, or damage it will cause, or economic issues......as long as they don't upset their gravy train, all good, eh?

Not every Tory MP. Not far off though.

Apologies, must have misread a previous article - thoughts they all had reverted to type. Any MP who voted to dump unimaginable quantities of sh*t in their own constituency........hope the voters remember this in 2024.

The sewage probems have been on going for a good while, except in Scotland.

There has not been a new reservoir built in the UK in the last 30 years, despite increasing water shortages. 20% of our water is lost thorough leaks.

A major issue for me is that English water companies were all sold off in 1989 asnd now are run mainly for profit maximisation so they can pay high dividends to their owners. Dealing with sewage costs money and reduces profits.

A F/Times journalist wrote in this weekend FT that they thought the Regulator was working for the the water companies when they listened to them. The regulators main job should be to maintain water standards.

As a population we are complicit in this, as the people we need to out these criminals at the first opportunity. If the tories stay in power then I believe we will be a third world state in a few years.

For your convenience, Evolve has collated a list of every single MP who voted to allow water companies to continue the horrendous practice of dumping raw sewage into our waterways below. Make sure you contact them or post on your social media to remind them of their duties. It is 2021 not 1988. Water companies which are highly profitable regional monopolies, some even avoiding UK tax, can not be allowed to get away with this for £.

I wonder how many have shares in water companies 🧐

There has not been a new reservoir built in the UK in the last 30 years, despite increasing water shortages.
I think that fact is based on a wiki page which lists the largest reservoirs & the last one in that list is 1992, but I worked on a new one in Durham in 2007:

It wasn’t a major issue when the EU directives on water standards had to be with held. Another of your Brexit benefits. I didn’t see “we’ll resurrect polio” on the side of a bus

It should be noted that the list of MPs that voted for it all say Conservative not Leave voters. Once again, this is not a Brexit issue but a Tory one.
