There is talk on various platforms about civil disobedience..............

I'm not 'advocating', I simply believe rioting is inevitable and have for a long time. I also believe that a failure to control it would undermine the governments approval to rule and bring it down.
It wouldn't just bring down the Tory government, it would bring down the whole democratic process in this country....

If you don't like something then riot?

Should we riot at the Riverside tonight if we get beat, perhaps they would just let us through to the next round ?

We've had riots before and things return to the same pretense of democracy afterwards

Your ignorance is lethal. You’ve spouted so much dross on this thread that I feel pity for you.
You don't, there is a GE every 4 years....
You’ve mentioned this about 10 times. It’s completely incorrect.

The sitting prime minister can call an election whenever they choose. The Fixed-term Parliament act was repealed and replaced by the Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Act. Educate yourself and it might stop you embarrassing yourself in front of an audience.

There was a ‘truther movement’ (the usual conspiracy freaks) who claimed that we didn’t have to pay for utilities etc as it comes from the Earth we all own or some such nonsense. They wanted everyone to stop paying bills.

This movement now is coming from their info, of which I have no doubt.
Unfortunately we don't all own the earth, not legally. The land in this country was stolen by William the conqueror, handed out to his barons. Handed down the ages through those landed gentry families and royals, and much of that land still belongs to those same families. The rest has been hoovered up by the nouveau riche, billionaires, shiekh's russians, owned via offshore companies. When natural resources are extracted, there is a fee paid to those familes, by us simply for that extraction to occur. You and I pay these families, simply because their forefathers stole the land, and we are paying them for no effort from them at all.

How do you get a GE sooner when looking at the polls the Tories would be mad to call one anytime soon.
I can almost guarantee if we had a GE today the tories would almost certainly get in. The majority are brainwashed into blaming every other part of society than the government who have left us in this position

They would control it, probably with police and military - I genuinely wouldn’t put it past these morally bankrupt fckers - and then we’d be just like one of them ‘third world’ nations you see on tv. …..

Aside from strikes in the hope of forcing their hand to help, we can only wait for the next GE and vote them out and hopefully something better in. It’s gonna be very hard for a lot of people bt we are gonna have to hang in there. Hopefully once these are out the electoral process is reformed to ensure what has happened over these last years under the ever emboldened right of the Tory party is never allowed to happen again.

(I’d advocate peaceful protests but protesting is against the law now and they usually end up in rioting by certain minorities anyway sadly)

Where has he said that please? Again I'll await the quote. Systematic destruction of innocent people's businesses through riots isn't the way to go. Neither is a general strike. Who keeps the lights on and the nuclear power stations running in that scenario? Who keeps the water flowing into our homes? Who transports the food to the shops?

I have my thoughts on how things could be changed but I'll keep them to myself and the lads in the pub. 👍🏻
A general strike bringing the country to its knees might be the only effective and legal way to force change. If anything the new PM is going to be withdrawing support for those hit hardest so not sure what other option we have at this stage

'Roughly' every 4 years, happy now ? Or are you wanting to riot about that aswell 🤣
Although I guess riots won't affect you anyway. You don't even live in this country....

The inane smile of the simpleton. I’ll be there when necessary. You hide behind the sofa, send your direct debit to Centrica and hope everything turns out for the best.

Yeah righto you'll be there at the front come the revolution, when you move back to these shores we might take your comments seriously.
You don't even live here, jog on 👍

He had said it time and time again. He's advocating doing nothing and scoffing at people who want to help others

Direct action against

I agree a starmer led labour wont be much better. We need a radical change in politics ,to take on these global giant corporations and make them handover the profits they have stolen from ordinary citizens
Talking about Starmer anyone heard from him while this is going on ?
