There is talk on various platforms about civil disobedience..............

I think there`ll be huge rallies organised in major towns and cities, it`ll go south from there

Once the winter bills hit and the costs keep rising and there`s no end in sight, why not fight, it`s all we`ll have left what with the ballot box still a year or more down the line

Riots are definitely a possibility if things continue as they are. We saw a few years ago that all it takes is a spark. Once one starts there's every chance it could spread across the country.

Potentially could get pretty nasty if it starts, this government aren't anywhere near competent enough to calm a situation like that. It would require them to have the capacity for empathy and the ability to listen. They're more likely to pour fuel on the flames and look to "suppress" or "stamp out" any civil disobedience.

First step they will take is bringing the military in, then start the RW media frenzy about a Marxist/EU/Anarchist plot to destroy the country and overthrow the monarchy. Then an almighty purge on socialism and democracy (already begun). Emergency laws to enable them to govern indefinitely off the back of the safety of the country (reality it's just absolute suppression).
Not too sure how bad civil disorder will have to be to topple the government, but there are a lot of extremely p*ssed off people with nothing to lose.

It's not though. Violent protests change governments. That's a proven fact
At what cost to us the Tax payer. It's mainly the youth of this Country bored of smashing bus stops and without a care of other peoples property thinking it will make them feel good. It won't change a Government as you say. Governments sit in Ivory Towers with judges and the like, they have no concept of the needs of the people on ground level.

As said above, there is a huge number of people who don't care about a subject or topic but will see riots or trouble as a way to cause havoc, to get away with vandalism and shoplifting and general violent behaviour disguised as someone taking an active role in said protest/riot

Nothing will change. Fuel bills going up 100% at a time instead of 3,4,5% over and over with no real cap anymore and people are paying them for fear of being cut off, fear of their credit score been affected etc... The only thing which will happen is the government will step in and pay a % of our bills for us but it won't be much and they may reintroduce a real cap which can only be increased gradually, but nothing is going to happen anytime soon we'll just be stuck with huge bills which are getting bigger and you'll have "normal" working people visiting food banks aswell as those on the breadline.

“Where are the billions and billions in profit going?” - into the offshore accounts of the uber rich - £4.7 trillion sat in the hands of a few of the elites
So why arnt people doing something about this and changing their suppliers to UK owned companies like Ecotricity that have no shareholders and all profits pumped back into green projects.
"Ecotricity began with a mission to replace electricity made by burning fossil fuels with green energy. We succeeded and now we aim to replace fossil fuel natural gas with sustainable green gas.
So, we’ve started building green gas mills and our first one will be up and running soon."
Its OK to whinge and moan about it but something else to actually do something about it.

It's not the energy companies making the profit though is it? It is the suppliers? So Centrica, not British Gas etc. I could be wrong though!
