Boxing controversy

This was the 2nd round, 2.40 sec in.

Dont know what happened before this. May have been down before or completely outboxed.

As stated above, amateur fight, safety first.

If you get pegged like that then the next one you might not get up from

Safety 1st

Fighter can now go away and look at how that one got through and work on it not happening again

Would like to know from the above poster why he thinks women shouldn`t referee boxing

Didn't watch it, or know the sport but there must be another referee or someone at ringside who can step in or assist in these cases cos the commentary says he won the first round and he looked absolutely fine then, at least give him the time to compose himself - which he had already done anyway?!

Don't think it's anything to do with her been a woman, there's plenty of useless men in boxing, football, and life in general.

The guy who was floored won the first round easily, an$ this was only 20 seconds into the 2nd round. Safety first = yes, but that did seem a little harsh from the ref

I thought it was too quick personally. English boxer was stopped after two knockdowns the other day and was in trouble. (Also a woman referee who was absolutely correct). Unfortunately the English boxer didn’t take it very well and refused to acknowledge his opponent.

Should have at least gave him the 8 and then take it from there .. he looked fine after a count of 2 ..

It would be tough to take. Do you have to spring straight back up to show you're fine?

I can see why the protections are in place, especially in amateur.
