Change Of Mood

I'm fairly optimistic we'll get the right signings in, but I feel if we get one or two injuries we could be in a bad situation.

To be fair, there’s been a change in mood from Wilder too. After the mauling at the hands of Preston we were told of a ‘probability’ of promotion based on the business he was planning. This week he’s been talking about how a top half finish wouldn’t be a bad thing.

I've said this about wilder previously, great manager, history of working through the tough times and coming out a winner, but I think his patience may be a little shorter these days as his career advances and rightfully so, I hope we not messing him around but if we are then I can see him potentially walking away and I wouldn't blame him to be honest, the problem is the guy is here for promotion, and I don't think the club is ready to commit to promotion yet, we are where we are and I don't mind that, but perhaps we should have gone for a manager that matches our ambition and who understands this will be a waiting game / slow build rather than an all out blast for promotion. I did wonder last season whether there was a correlation between what wilder thought was going to happen and what we can do in reality, and to me it looks like when the Burnley situation reared its head last year, wilder was given assurances that he'd be better with us due to our "big push" next year, and perhaps we've fallen a tad short of what he was expecting

All that is a risk, but Wilder will assess whether the Club have delivered on their pledges to him at the end of the window.
It is mighty frustrating to wait, but we and he have no other choice.

Yes very true, this is a waiting game, potentially a few games of Russian roulette being played at the mo. Were certainly no different to anyone else other than Burnley it seems. To be honest, I really enjoy it no matter what league were in so ill be happy either way!
