Presumably Akpom was training back home though (as a pro should) rather than spending time in Portugal shading from the fierce sun. Uche well I really haven’t a clue what’s going to happen to him and you may be correct. We would have paid more to attract him up North.I'm very surprised he's not picked up a club. That's either on loan for his final year (like Lumley) or sold off for a similar fee to what we paid.
I can't say I'm overly a fan of telling someone not to come into training yet still pay them. He's had all summer to get fixed up. I imagine he's maybe on a few quid by many clubs standards and he's trying to match or better.
It always seems a case that we struggle to move players on because we pay them well. That's despite massive cost cutting.
What happens if he doesn't find a club by the 1st of sep? Do we just keep paying him for a year without a squad number? The treatment of Uche and Akpom seemed strange as we had no forwards. They should have gone to Portugal. That's why Akpom was blowing out of his hoop on Saturday after 50-60mins.
club have asked him to focus on finding a new club, he's basically on Garden Leave, but free to train wherever he wants. He's probably training close to his main family home, what's the point of keeping him up here if we're not going to use him?So where is he? Is he training with us? He should be assuming he's still on the club payroll. If so I haven't seen him on any of the club photo galleries/videos.
Speaking from experience? He’s like playing snooker with a roll of wallpaper. Interesting at first but essentially a waste of time that spoils the game.
Tried quite a few bits and pieces when it comes to snooker shots. You can’t beat turning the cue around and using the wrong end to smash the balls about. Well you can beat it, by using the cue the right way and playing properly, but if you’re crap at snooker then there’s less fun in that.Speaking from experience?
