BORO strikers scoring on debut

According to my stats Jedi, 133 in total
The 1st player to score on his Boro debut was a player called Robert Eglington, scored away to New Brighton on the 16th September 1899, our 1st ever point as a football league team

Mr Middlesbrough became the 80th different Boro player to score on his debut when he scored his trademark penalty in a 3-2 home win over Workington Town, we were 2-0 down at the time

He scored the penalty on his 22nd birthday - 24th September 1966

Uwe Fuchs? I'm pretty sure he did🤔

Seem to think we beat someone 1-0 and he scored. My minds puddled it was years ago.

Bernie scored on his home debut, home to Bradford City, lost away at Leeds the previous saturday

Bit of a left-field one, but did Brian Deane do it? He scored in a televised 1-1 draw at home to Forest. Just not sure if it was his Boro debut or not.

I thought Uwe came on as a late sub for his debut in a pretty poor home defeat, could be wrong though. Banged them in after that though, so maybe it was his full debut you recall.

A quick Google says scored on full debut in a 1-0 win against Charlton.

My bad. I played a hunch 😂

Just wanted to comment about a cult hero lol

I was at that game,John O'rourke also scored on his debut away to Colchester that season the first player I can remember doing so.
The next one that comes to mind is Stan Webb who was the cousin of one of my schoolteachers at the time and had told me earlier in the week he would be playing, she became my favourite teacher for a while.

Stan Webb scored both goals at home to Bristol City in a 2-1 win on the 11th May 1968, the 82nd different Boro player
