Will more than likely start LCB on Saturday. What are peoples thoughts on Daels game time this season?

Say we sign that LCB we so desperately need I think Fry could be a sub as I think Lenihan has that centre spot nailed down. He is a leader, strong in the air, brilliant on the ball. Gonna be an interesting one and tough for Fry but it’s personally how I see it with obviously Dijksteel and McNair battling it out for RCB

I think he'll be a regular starter. It's a little unclear who'll be where, but Fry is one of our main assets and I don't think Wilder would be looking to keep him as a sub

I think it’s a guarantee Lenihan starts in the centre on Saturday and at Morecambe Fry was shunted to the left too. Tells its own story for me. Lenihan has looked an improvement so far and whilst he’s in good form plays in that role for me

I think Fry and Lenihan will be pretty much nailed on this season as starters, with McNair, Dijksteel and a potential new recruit battling for the other spot.
Wilder has said Dijksteel and McNair will battle it out for RCB

So you think Fry will play LCB all season? Don’t see that personally

He's the best centre half at the club. Starting him anywhere other than in the middle when everyone's fit and we bring in a left sided centre half is foolish.

Fry looks very uncomfortable when played anywhere near the left, Woodgate had him there and it was pretty much his only period of being anything less than class. McNair is the only one of the current 4 that can play there though I think Bola could be decent in that position
I agree it’s a risk to play him there but with Paddy being suspended he will opt with Fry over Bola I would imagine

I don’t think he is. Lenihan Suits us more. If Wilder fancies him as the main man in the middle he will play him there Saturday, if it’s Lenihan who gets the nod well that tells its own story and the way it’s looking it will be Lenihan

Centre back will be interesting this year. He's brought in Lenihan on a 4 year contract, so you would say he will be a definite starter, and keep the position as long as he is half decent. If we get another LCB, as a likely starter, then one or both of Fry and McNair are likely to be sold. I can't see any of Fry, McNair or Djiksteel being happy with just being a sub. All have played regularly in their careers thus far and will no doubt want to keep doing so. Interesting times ahead...

Think you maybe right mate. There is the potential one of them could be sold as there isn’t a guarantee they will all start any more

Wouldn’t want Fry anywhere near LCB to be honest but if it’s just while McNair is suspended then it’ll have to do, that being said, I’m not a massive fan of McNair playing there either.

I’d also rather have Dijksteel play RCB ahead of McNair.

Fry and McNair are two of our best players so a shame to see either on the bench but we do have a lot fo competition now-

I think if it’s a choice of him or Lenihan at LCB it will be Fry, as he will get forward more. Lenihan is going to play central, and unless we sign a first choice LCB, Fry won’t be left out.

I agree. Well I would personally play McNair over Fry in that position.

If we sign a LCB do you think Fry will be benched, I do

Yeah maybe. I guess if Fry starts LCB on Saturday it’s then up to him to make Wilder unable to drop him. I don’t think having both Fry and Lenihan in the back three is a bad thing though.
