McCartney at Glastonbury

I personally think hes been great. He's 80 yrs old and knocked out a 2 and a half hr set. He's paid some amazing tributes to his band mates he's lost. His special guest were amazing....Grohl making his public comeback after Taylors death and Springsteen. Of course he should do his own stuff...he's been an ex beatle longer than he was a beatle. Pulled the best out for the last hr....legend!!

Fair play I enjoyed the end. Live and let die would have been a great opening song to get the crowd going, such an energetic song. He can play whatever he wants, I just guess I don’t like any of the newer stuff.

Still playing after 2 and a half hours! Gotta give an 80yo some leeway on his voice, quite a bit of leeway really given his contribution to music. Emotional set for me, vividly remember listening to Love Me Do come on the radio while waiting for my haircut in Bindoffs in Doggie Market place almost 60 years ago. Could have done without the cameos from Grohl and Springsteen tho....

And in the end
the love you take
is equal to the love you make

just got back to our camper after Macca. Have to say thought his 2004 set list was better. Too many new songs and not enough Beatles staples. Loved Live and Let Die where the crowd let themselves go a bit. Obv Grohl and Springsteen helped.

Didnt realise it was on an hours delay on BBC as Macca wouldnt give the right to broadcast live. Rather sent a spoiler to a mate who wasnt aware Bruce was appearing.

I didn't realise Bruce was such a surprise as, being at home, I've been reading rumours since Thursday. Dave Grohl making such a public comeback was the absolute shock

I was listening full blast on my good quality headphones and his voice was great. I loved that performance, got quite emotional at times. He outperformed some of the people who are less than half his age. Some right miserable hyper critical w4nkers on this thread, his performance genuinely made me happy tonight.
