Isaiah Jones

God,I just wish this would go away, can't stand the thought of losing Isaiah especially to Moyes.Remember that close season when the Mail kept printing Liverpool wanted Ziege and of course got him in the end.

Remember in his podcast last week, he was asked about if he was offered the chance to play for a London club.
His reply was "No. Im happy here!"
If he went to WHU or any Prem club at the moment, he would be in the reserves or on the bench.
He`s had one full season in the first team - and as yet isnt ready for that step up.
No doubt he will get better and learn his craft.

He is a willing student and I`m convinced Wilder and his Coaching team will help him to become a top player.
Typical Premier talk - they all think players will crawl hands and knees to their clubs - as if they are heaven on earth.
Stuff em!
Our Jonesy is too good and too sensible for them big time charlies.

It's hardly surprising our most exciting player is getting linked with Premier League clubs.

Personally, I think it's media/tabloid trash to entice a few hits online.

He wouldn't get into West Ham's first team and I think he knows that.

From his own personal point of view, he is better staying here, improving, developing and then if he has a fabulous season next season (and we don't get promoted) then he has every right to be ambitious and start listening/looking at offers from top flight clubs.

Money talks and we can't compete with PL wages, even for reserves. They don't have a guaranteed starter at right-back so he has a chance of playing 1st team for them but I think it is too soon. Maybe this is a situation where a buy and loan-back for a season might work out. They want to secure him before his price rockets but want him to get minutes and develop still.

Coufal is first choice by the looks, but Ben Johnson is really challenging him for that RB spot.

I don't see how Jones gets a look in if he did sign, other than maybe play a few cup games here and there.

£15m for Spence = good deal (for us)
£15m for Jones = not a good deal (for us)

Peak Jones was way better than peak Spence last year, as we all know, so why would we take the same money, when Jones is clearly happy, and Spence clearly isn't?

I think Jones did get a bit burnt out last year mind, but we did put a lot on his shoulders, and the opposition knew it and tried to stifle him, and he was possibly also carrying a few knocks.

If we get some more of a threat on the LH side, then we could reduce Jones' workload, and also likely stop opposition from trying to tactically nullify him.

Moyes likes to put loads and loads of crosses into the box, and Jones' delivery isn't good enough for that yet.
