Silence of The Rams

Not sure he's really a Derby fan, he's always the voice of reason amongst a load of 'everyone's fault but our own'. Often gets accused of being an "EFL stooge" for explaining why the EFL acted writing their rules rather than randomly punishing DCFC.

You couldn't make this up, but their 40k/week club captain, you know the one that left the previous captain for dead in the back of a car.....well, he's now posted on instagram a picture of himself playing golf with Kurncher, the fantacist who tried to buy them for two months with monopoly money and put the clubs existance at risk......couldn't make it up.

Derby, the club that keeps on giving

surely this can't continue, right now it would seem they cannot guarantee they can fulfil next seasons fixtures. That throws the integrity of the league in doubt. It's all getting really desperate

The idea of them being able to add more debt to cover basic functions is ridiculous. If they have ran out of money then they should be done, just like all the other clubs that never got the lifelines Derby County are receiving.

Fixtures out in 3 days. If by midnight on Wednesday they don't have this sorted then they should be expelled form the league and the two clubs who dropped out of League 1 and League 2 (Gillingham and Scunthorpe I think it is) should get reinstated.

The talk in their chatroom today is of a potential Phoenix Club and due to their size they should be allowed to start in L2.... So debt free, no strict recovery plan, fresh start and I'm not sure quite who's place they expect to take!?!?!

It's pretty clear to me that hysteria has well and truly set in down there as I've never seen so many delusional fans.. and I've been to Newcastle!

Where will they play?

Ground share with Forest would be good.

Looking for funds to start the season? If they do not have funds guaranteed to complete the season a month before kick off, they should not be allowed to start it

If they do not start, they should be expelled by the Football league. If saved at a later date they should start in National League North next season. If they reform as a phoenix club, then they should start again at the very bottom.

The amount they owe the tax man is a disgrace and the fact that this has increased during administration is beyond belief. The administrators seem as incompetent (crooked) as Mel Morris

Now the Administrators are asking to borrow money to pay the players wages for this month!

No 'super bid'

Former Derby County chairman Andy Appleby is not in talks with ex-Wolves owner Steve Morgan over a collaboration that would see them join forces over a takeover. Reports over the weekend suggested the duo were contemplating teaming up to launch a joint bid for the club which has been in administration for the last nine months. But sources have told Derbyshire Live that is not the case and Appleby is continuing to launch his own pursuit of a deal for the Rams who are back on the market after Chris Kirchner withdrew his offer for the club last Monday.

Quantuma loan

Derby County's administrators Quantuma are hoping to acquire a short-term loan to pay staff's wages for June.
And it is hoped the cash will also enable the Rams to sell season tickets and also sign players for the forthcoming League One season. It is not clear how Derby would be allowed to complete transfers particularly as they remain under a transfer embargo.

Derby's players are set to return to pre-season training next week with seven players under contract with boss Wayne Rooney having been stifled in his attempts to add to the squad because the club remains unsold. There are numerous players out of contract at Derby, but those deals expire on June 30 and time is running out for them to secure their futures.

MP urged to 'intervene' in takeover

An open letter from Derby County supporters groups to Secretary of State for Business Kwasi Kwarteng has urged the cabinet member to ‘intervene’ in a potential takeover of the club. The Rams have been in administration since September last year. American Chris Kirchner did look to be closing in on a takeover, but his withdrawal earlier this month has left the club searching for other potential buyers.Administrators Quantuma are negotiating with other interested parties, including former Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley. Former Wolves owner Steve Morgan has also been credited with an interest, as well as Andy Appleby, who was former chairman of the Rams.

All these clubs who had a cast in stone deadline to pay their debts, couldn't/didn't , and were subsequently liquidated and bumped down 6-10 leagues........

And then there is Derby. These other clubs should have just had a few chancers turning up claiming to be multi millionaires, fail to produce the funds when asked, then reset button pressed and deadline is moved. They certainly missed a trick.

Whole situation stinks. I wouldn't want the club to go bump, but relegating them into an East Midlands pub league would be fitting and consistent. But, as we have seen, the EFL are utterly f*cking useless and obviously a fair amount of favouritism going on at EFL HQ.

apparently they are looking for loans to cover this months wages at about 1.6m. If they are looking for funding for the season for a skeleton squad of say 20 players, that would be about 2-3m (and almost certain relegation). Signing on and agent fees etc of say 500k. Plus stadium rental costs, say another 1-2m, other staff and running costs, such as training facility, coaches, travel costs, say another 2m. You are talking about 6-10m to operate for the season. They can probably raise much of that in income. As long as their fans stay loyalish at say 20k, not sure they will though. They can survive with that.....the kicker is the debt, even at 25% of pref debt they need another 5-10m or more to service that debt and stop it spiraling?
