Champions League Final Matchday Thread

The Liverpool #3 clearly plays it back towards Benzema off his knee. The ball was going away from the goal before he played it. He might not have intended to play it back, but he clearly did, it wasn't a deflection, but it may have deflected off the goalie as well.

Clearly the VAR ruling was wrong.
You could interpret it that way, or you could interpret it as a double deflection as it was deflected off his knee by the deflection off the first Liverpool defender. It's not clearly wrong. Although any side would feel aggreved if it went against them.

I think Liverpool have been the better team, but this defeat is making the bizarre decision to give Klopp Premier League Manager of the Season look even weirder.

It was blatantly done because of the cup results, and they've blown the biggest one whilst slipping up in the league.

Without VAR the linesman got it right.

VAR showed the linesman to be right.

We're only having the discussion because the pundits don't know the rules and have cast a cloud over it.

The studio ref explained it and said it was clearly offside given the current rules and Ferdinand still wouldn't just accept it.

Fabinho didn't attempt to play the ball with his knee. It wasn't deliberate. Benzema is offside. Clearly.

Is winning the League and FA Cup seen as a failure in Liverpool's eyes after what was on offer at one point?

Madrid remind me of Liverpool in 2005, their name was already on the trophy, just one of those batshit crazy seasons.
