Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest [K/O 15:00 hrs BST]

Good evening @r00fie1 afraid the game kicks off here at 2 am so won’t be staying up. I can’t see anything but Forest prevailing after 2 legs. They have shown their quality in knockout football this season and I suspect next week the City Ground will be too hot a cauldron for The Blades to handle.

Yes just caught up on the semi at Luton last night. Huddersfield looked too strong for Luton but loved the atmosphere and the drama of the occasion and today will be the same. I’m expecting a Huddersfield v Forest Final.

Didn’t watch but when watching Huddersfield battling out for a place at the showpiece occasion at Wembley did you not think back to how we schooled them at Huddersfield way back in November and how much they improved since?

enjoyed the luton v hudds game, was an ideal first leg for the neutral. also nice to watch a var-less game, with a strong, competent referee. looking fwd to forest cocking it up big time.
Missed two penalties though that VAR may have given I read.

The first was in the first 20 seconds! Very very similar to Spurs penalty incident the other night. The Luton penalty claim was also strong but wondered in his mind the ref had to even it up somehow.

he handled the game superbly. obviously had decided it would be a shame for such an important game to be decided by a pen he wasn't 100% sure on - was firm, fair & consistent. footy the way it should be.

He was ok. Another Prem ref brought in to officiate in a champo game. But he definitely bottled both penalty decisions.

Yes. Watmore gave them a lesson, but they`ve ploughed on quietly - pushing up the table. A good Manager. If you compare that with Blackburn - who streaked ahead and then fell by vthe wayside towards the latter third of the season.

Last night Huddersfield looked a cohesive outfit and I have never heard of most of their players. How many last night played in the 11 against us in that game in November?

My Trees supporting mate says hes "sch**ing it"!
So many nerves.
Be interesting to see what the first ten or fifteen brings.(y)

They've managed to silence the Bramhall Lane cauldron with that goal. Should the Blades have had a penalty just before?

I see they've moved the away end to the upper tier for this one, giving forest more seats than normal.
Wonder why, given that forest are only giving sheff utd the usual 2k?

I thought so, usual inept non-decision from the linesman though, he had his arms around his neck / shoulder preventing him having a free run in. If it wasn't given for us I'd be annoyed.
