Not trying to take over the match thread posts, others do it better, but who are we supporting tonight, if anyone?
Im not sure myself, it would be good for a local derby but I just cant get my head around wanting Sunderland to win.
 
Sheffield Wednesday all the way.

They'll bring almost as many fans to our ground without the disgusting chants.

More importantly, it would then be another season of League One failure for Sunderland and the hope of another to follow it.

Overall I want Blunderland to lose. Mainly due to their disgusting fans chanting 'Paedo' every time they visit the Riverside. Grown men who otherwise would be trying to pass as decent human beings chanting that in front of children is beyond contempt. The only plus to them going up would be a good old Derby atmosphere. Please beat them Wednesday!
 
Couldn't care less about Sunderland, its not a derby is it.

Only joking, of course its a local derby when we play then, as much as a few try to convince themselves it isn't. Obviously not as big as the Tyne Wear derby, but a derby nonetheless.

So I'd always rather play then than Wednesday, but more than that I think Wycome deserve it after Derbys cheating
 
I worked in Sheffield for over 10 years and went to watch Wednesday pretty regular during the Big Ron, Francis and Waddle days. Including their League Cup final win over Man U, and a few of the resultant European games (Kaiserslautern I think) so a no brainier for me this one. Come on you Owls!
 
You’d think that Wednesday will be itching to get back to the championship after seeing and (probably) hearing their near neighbours clinch a playoff spot. I want Wednesday to win but feel that Sunderland might have too much on the counter for Wednesday.
 
Tough game tonight for Sunderland
Sheff Wed beat them 3-0 at Hillsborough in the league
Sheff Wed have best home record in League 1
 
I'm working it purely on away days in the champo.

Sunderland only ever give us 2300 tickets 'on police advice'. Despite being half full.

Yet you always get an end at sheff wed (4k+). I have a soft spot for Hillsborough. Its old school but not a dump.

Also a brilliant little family run chippy near the away end. Cracking cod / chips and curry sauce 👌

So it's definitely sheff wed for me
