Their investors want their money back...

I wonder how many clubs out there are teetering on the edge of financial ruin?

It gets worse the following players will be out of contract: Lennon, Bardsley, Cork, Pieters, Stephens, Rodriguez, Barnes, Mee, Vydra, Tarkowski.

Add on to that with a world cup year, Pope, Roberts and Hennessey will want out.

That's a massive rebuild job, while having a huge reduction in income and paying a massive debt.

It is not too dissimilar story at Norwich regarding out of contract players and big rebuilding needed.

The questions beg. How much pressure does that add for next season on the new manager if they start poorly and how much is going to be invested in new olayers.

This is what the prem has become a league so inflated and gorged on ridiculous sums of obscene wealth like some kind of vulgar trough that to drop out of it is to risk oblivion.

No other league in the world has that kind of jeopardy.

No tears shed for Burnley at all.
Obviously not for Everton either.
I get a result either way, but would still prefer Everton to drop and waste.

Ashley Barnes would be a great signing for us in the championship
