It was something that interested me as a kid, but I didn't have anyone to show me how to do it. Around my 40th birthday I had an accident on my lower spine and had to learn to walk again. I had very rarely been out of work and I found it difficult stuck in the house day in day out. One day I decided to go fishing to try and get me out of my rut. I dug some gear out of the garage and bought some bits and got the wife to take me to White House Farm, Great Broughton. Whilst there I got chatting to an older guy and he taught me more about fishing than anyone else. The rest was just practice, reading the Improve your Coarse Fishing magazine and watching Matt Hayes DVD's. Nowadays, you can learn a lot by watching youtube. How does one get into fishing? Dad question probably but none of my relatives partake in it and I've come to fancy trying or recently. Can you get lessons?
I use to run a fishing club at school and had plenty of students take it up.
When things get back to normal, I would be happy for you to tag along.
There use to be a lot of lads on here who fished.
